    As long as that's a uniform decision that will be adhered to on a permanent basis, I will happily be involved in adding my opinion... what concerns me is that I think decisions will only occasionaly be put out in the public domain - I believe that as moderators, you will take it upon yourselves to administer a punishment without any consultation and then we will all be 'fairweather disciplinarians'.

    Just a thought.

    I agree we should be able to do it ourselves. I think the problem is that we could ban anyone on the site rather than just our board and I think we'd have to be given "Super-Mod" status which would mean we could edit any content on any board. There should really be more than just Syd and Mick in charge really. It's a real pain in the arse when you need something doing and neither of them are on.

    It would be nice to have the option over our members, but then what do you do about intruders? If we abused the banning option then we could have our moderator status removed understandably by Mick.
