End of day BR stated he set us up wrong, admits he got it wrong, changed it in time, we scraped a result. I've seen many a manager stand by and scratch their head wondering why it just isn't working simply because they said it would.

Makes me believe that although human, he's not arrogant to the point of idiocy despite what some would like us to believe.

Lucas almost there according to himself. Everyone at club seems to believe we will get reinforcements in January and then there's an entire half of a season to go.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm actually getting sick of the double standards when people talk about Liverpool.

When Suarez scores for us they don't talk about what a good player he is, its all about how reliant we are on him and how poor we'd be without him. You don't hear that when Messi/Van Persie/Ronaldo/Milito/Cavani/Ibrahimovic etc score for their respective clubs.

When we miss chances against a team its because we have poor players that are no good at scoring goals. When other teams miss chances against us all the talk is about how poor we were defensively to give the opposition those chances and how lucky we were that they didn't score.

    With regards above:

Think our only problem or only attraction from all these "interested parties" point of view is that we aren't winning the games. If we had won every game 1-0 with a singular Suarez effort then their points would be mute. Yes we may still have got the over reliance on Suarez thrown at us but we wouldn't have cared.

I'm afraid we will just have to grin & bear it. I'm finding it amusing the utter fascination our "has been" club still holds for all these "real" football fans wanting our obviously superior debate....:D

It would be so easy to sink into a defeatist mentality that has truly been engendered by the media and eagerly seized upon other supporters. It goes from the kind of outrageous statements by McGarry on Radio5, eg "Football is suffering for the sins of Suarez". When finally asked by a caller to identify those 'sins' all he could fall back on was "I don't like him". It ends wit the sly comment (again on Radio5) that Terry suffered a serious injury in "an incident with Liverpool's Suarez" however Gerrard was to have a scan following an injury "in the same match"!

Perhaps one way to get over the negative press is to start a Laughter Thread where all of the negative press can be listed and mocked How about calling it Mock The Media

They'll save you time & post direct. For it to work properly though we'll have to keep any unrelated anti united posts off it (unless its directly quoting a united sauce of course!)

Otherwise it'll just be another banter/conspiracy thread.

I'll add some rules to it.

Such as not about being against United.

Might even make it a Manc free thread.

Anyhow I must sleep. Up at 5.

If you're referring to some posters on here, well the thing is that they're not on here to give an objective assessment of our club, are they?
They're here to have a dig- so everything we say will simply be twisted to suit, even if it means them being contradictory and hypocritical. Then, if challenged, they claim it's "opinion" and say we're incapable of accepting another point of view.
Still, as said, it's funny how our little, no-mark, has-been club still dominates their thinking.

Not sure what is included in the accounts but all they have to do is win the FA Cup and Champions League every year and they can keep making a £1m profit <ok>

Its a knock on effect. As unimportant Liverpool are, there is still hordes of Manchester United fans joining the debate about our so-called ''unimportant club''.

It's schadenfreude. A lot of the United fans who post on here seem to be of an age that they started supporting the club in the 70's or 80's, myself included. The irony is we are branded as gloryhunters by people like your good self who started supporting Liverpool in the 80's (despite coming from a Manchester United supporting family!) purely because they were hoovering up trophies.

These are our good times for us and the bad times for you so I suggest you just suck it up <ok>. Credit to you for sticking by Liverpool when the bandwagon derailed though, it's had a pretty negative impact on your ability to communicate with the outside world but credit nonetheless.

I could be worse I could be a supporter of Arsenal or Everton. Everton fans don't know what a trophy looks like, and Arsenal have a manager called Arsewipe Wenger who claims finishing in the top four is better than winning the FA Cup. I really really could be worse off.
As we told Everton fans in 2005
For those of you watching in blue and white...this is what the European Cup looks like.

It must be hard for 'glory hunters' like you though at present.

Given that when you 'chose' your badge, you signed up for league titles & winning everything in sight.

Nowadays you're being told that better than 8th is 'fantastic' & 1 Mickey Mouse cup in 6 years, is the only silverware you can cling on to.

Not what you 'signed up for' that is it? Must be painful.

Wenger has said that finishing in the top four is more of an achievement than winning the FA Cup. Thats a defeatist atitude. Everton ''awarding'' David Moyes for failure is another. 10 years with no silverware, and he gets a contract extension? Kenny Dalglish got sacked after 18 months having won something.

It just shows the difference between big clubs and clubs that are small..and think small. Spurs also come into this bracket.

Yesterday you were praising Rodgers for saying finishing 7th would be fantastic. Make up your mind.
