U21's getting a bit of a pasting tonight at Spurs http://twitter.com/officialsaints

Saints U21s: Johns, Butterfield, Mugabi, Turnbull, Targett, Curtis, Moore, Reeves (c), Isgrove, Hoskins, Sinclair
Saints U21s substitutes: Britt (GK), Gape, McQueen, Seager, Young

0 3 down half time. Isgrove injured early on replaced by Seager. Goals by Falque (2) and Obika

New thread started so I will leave this alone on here

Had a request from a Forum buddy Millwall Steve for a Saints pin badge. A mate of his collects them and is short of one of ours. If anyone has one they are willing to let go PM him or me. Thanks all!

    Evening guys, in peace <ok>

Straight to the point, I'm looking for a Saints pin badge as a Christmas present for my mum's other half who says that he needs to add Saints to his collection of memorabilia from grounds that he has visited in the past but was unable to buy anything from the club shop at the time so I thought ah-ha that'll do for an idea what to get him as you never know what to get people for presents <doh>

If anyone can spare one I'd be very grateful and of course I'll gladly give you something for it <ok>

    <cheers> guys

TFLS was always quite amusing from what I can remember. What did he say?

TFLS quote: "After Lord Lowe comes back he could hire Le Tiss as manager and pay the current monkeys the peanuts they deserve..." I have no idea what he is on, but he keeps trying to troll, so far with little success.

He was more amusing in my memory, possibly rose-tinted glasses.

Though I think using <magic> and<bubbly> added a lot to his posts somehow, made them seem less serious.

Part of being in a democracy is being able to accept a plethora of viewpoints without demeaning one that contrasts sharply with one's own perspective. Well done fellow Saints for the points you provided in articulating such a range of standpoints. Thank you moderators for letting this debate continue as it is largely OT.

True. But there are also some viewpoints that are deemed unacceptable in our society, so it's probably worth pointing out that there are limits to this. An obvious example being Nazism. I'm not saying dman's views are that bad, but he did refer to all immigrants as "sods" who "walk all over us". The question here is where do we draw the line? I personally don't think that particular comment should be deemed an acceptable viewpoint, and I certainly don't think it should be considered equally as credible as my views.

    Just something to mull over.

"McClean was bought from Derry City, his home club, where his insatiable desire to become a Premier League footballer stood out in one of the most deprived areas of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
He was brought up on the Creggan Estate, close to the scene of the Bloody Sunday massacre in 1972."

I've just read this from a newspaper report, it may go some way to understanding why James McClean took the stance that he did. It's quite possible that a member of his family could've died at Bloody Sunday.

Are all the "swifties" watching Taylor on Alan Carr? I honestly can't see the attraction.

Look, this thread started with a somewhat tenuous reference to Saints at best and, because it has veered onto politics has now become personal and we have a lot more heat than light! Unless I get a compelling argument via PM, this will be merged into Beefy corner.
