Christ if he's out of contract in May then 1mil is insane. Only makes sense if we have the funds available and then it's a case of hoping he continues to be a regular goal scorer so that should another team bid for him in the future we make the money back as he's still young. Well I'm not totally convinced by Malone so far but he did well to set up Keogh on sat so fingers crossed he's a success. Taylor has been great. Very committed to closing down the opposition and winning the ball back, any idea what he cost us or us he a loan? Wood is only 20 so even if his contract is close to finishing we prob should try and secure him as he's getting us goals. With a bit of luck he will end up like Charlie Austin and be worth 10mil. I think Taylor is on a 1 year deal and the quicker we get him signed up for longer the better proving to be real quality and i think theres more of him to come yet
Yeh I know that Steve, but I thought we showed an interest in signing him when we were still in league 1 or just after we got promoted. Made a joke/piss poor offer which surprisingly got rejected. Well Taylor for nothing looks a fantastic bit of business. Refreshing to see us get a decent player in for a change. I think woods is well worth the money as it stands, but i still think its alot of money with his remaining contract, looks like WBA might be playing a wildcard on the possibility of offering him a new deal or selling...
