Personally I think he's alright. He does post some **** but it's easy enough to ignore and the Advice About Women and Geordie Porn threads are some of the funniest things I've read on here.

It goes without saying that posting viruses on the forum is unacceptable, but there was reasonable doubt as to whether he knew what he was doing or not and it wasn't overly malicious in that is wasn't going to corrupt someone's hard drive. However, considering the vile nature of the content that he did know it contained and his previous behaviour I think a ban was necessary.

On another note, any threads such as the one that the virus was posted on (i.e. aimed at an individual) will be deleted. Nothing good is ever going to come from a thread like that and the **** will obviously hit the fan. So stop with the Tash-bashing articles people.

How about Tash digging

 

After my falling out with Tash i've tried to avoid all his threads that are non-football related and been mostly successful. For me it is those that causes most of the problems. When he is talking about football he is still opinionated but things rarely seem to get out of control.

I suggest we mass boycott all his non-football related threads, particularly his agony aunt queries about his love life or job situation. I know that is difficult because he sets himself up as a prime target for some heavy duty banter, but it always ends up with Tash getting p'd off and then he angers somebody in return.

I've actually gotten on with him fairly well since I started doing this.

I agree with the 3 strikes rule though. If he hasn't learnt already from these two bans then he should be shown the door before he does some lasting damage.

 

The problem with that is that his advice on women thread was hilarious!

 

Got to say I've got faith in the moderation system and I'm happy enough to go along with their findings. Give him a fresh start and let's just see if he can behave himself in a proper manner.

 

I have to say, that job application article really pissed me off. He was completely unwilling to accept that what he did was ******ed and lashed out at anyone who pointed this out to him.

 

I agree with this. If he comes back on and starts acting the same he's never going to learn and is just going to get himself banned permanently, maybe this would make him consider what he's writing a lot more.

I think he's a little niave, immature and certainly lacks certain social skills but we do get on his case a lot as well. Give him a fair crack though as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there's a lot worse than him on other boards who haven't been banned for saying worse than he's said. The virus link I wasn't about so can't comment, though I find it difficult to believe he hadn't clicked the link himself and had his PC infected too.

 

Yeah it was hilarious. Lets face it some of the most enjoyable threads on this forum have been inspired by Tash or revolved around bashing him. But they are the same ones that have ultimately gotten us to this position.

If we want Tash to stick around, whether as a prolific poster or as occasional comedy value we have to help him. If we carry on bashing him he will strike out in no time.

Annoying as he can be I reckon we'd end up missing him if that happened. Can't believe I said that

Saying that though anything more from him that risks spreading virus' then kick him into touch and good riddance.

 

Apparently there was no virus when he went on it, seems very fishy to me!

 

I have not missed him at all at the moment. When he does his stupid threads everyone swarms round them and then nobody else writes good threads because everyone is just Tash-bashing, myself included. I say get rid of him! But because that is not going to happen, I will give him a chance.

On a more serious note some people go out of their way to call Tash an eejit.
If ye don't have an opinion on his articles then don't comment on them.

However, some of his more random articles should be moved to the General Chat forum because their not Newcastle related.

 

I try to be fair to him on every article, but if he posts irrelevant **** constantly, he's going to get **** back from me. It's not a coincidence so many people have fell out with him. It's the "world revolves around him" attitude and sometimes even casual racism that is really annoying though.

I agree on one more strike and he's out, but what if that was in a year? And he was well behaved up until then and had one slip?

 

Just searched 'funny moustache' in Google and it was close to the top.

 

We will have to discuss it closer to the time. If we can tell by the way he posts and acts that he is genuinely a good person then keep him in. However if you can tell that he was being a twat and that it was just a comment waiting to burst out, or a virus, then boot him out!
