The last time I sat in the Upper Rous we had a couple of away fans seated in front of me. Their team popped the ball into our goal and they stood up cheering and waiving their scarves. Unfortunately for them they had failed to notice a linesman stood resolutely on the line with his flag up for offside. The banter that took place afterwards involving the two red-faced fans was great fun and to be fair they could see the funny side of it. All part of an enjoyable afternoon out.
I agree Frenchie.. we should be able to sit and enjoy a game of football together in this day and age. Trouble is ...and that is the sheep whisperer in me... a lot of folk use thegame to express behaviour and feelings that would not be acceptable elsewhere.... and the tribal stuff... In the rookery it looked quite ugly at times and it was the watford supporters doing it.
Theo - That is not a "feeloader" area - you have to pay good money to sit there. We had a table in The Hornets Nest and then sat in that area and there were many QPHa fans in there that had also brought tables. That idiot who was dragged out had also been in The Hornets Nest and also racially abused another fan as he was dragged out - he was also seen on the pitch after. Luckily for him, he did not go back into The Hornets Nest after....There were QPha fans all arounnd us and all of them just wanted to watch their team and we had some great banter with them and none of them had a good word for the couple of idiots...Fully agree on your second paragraph
The rangers fans that W-y was referring too were a good bunch and were quite rightly emotional on gaining promotion as thet have had a barren last 15 years or so! What I object too were the drunken young yobs that were running around Watford afterwards causing trouble in the hotel I was in and racially abusing the receptionist/ bar man! its not good when a middle aged person has to confront 3 yobs !

I think that all season ticket holders should be moved from the Vicarage Road end and just give away fans a larger allocation. It will help reduce trouble.....and ultimately in some games provide us with more money which we desperately need.
A strong response laying some responsibility with WFC season ticket holders....for buying tickets for QPR supporters
Its a sad state of affairs all these years on from the days of continual football violence that fans cannot sit together as they do at Rugby and many another sport. As for trouble at a hotel Norway - the club cannot be held to account for that - it is simple hooliganism like any other alcohol related incident - football is just the excuse
A good and welcome statement. If those plans are carried through we can be happy. Lets keep an eye on this over the summer. I take the point about the Lower Rous being mixed and usually this is not a problem. Perhaps there should be some mention of the Rookery being Home fans only on our web site and when booking tickets in that area.

So will you be giving up your seat with a good view to one of the people being forced to move in your idea? Why should they have to move from a good view in the Vic Rd end to somewhere down the sides of the Rookery or the shallow Lower Rous? Where do you sit? Rous Stand? Maybe they should put the away fans along the side and give home fans both ends. Or maybe you're in the Rookery. Maybe we could give the Rookery back to the away fans and make the Vic rd end the home end again. I know these are absurd suggetions, but don't just assume you can move other people when you know you wouldn't like it yourself.
Just wedge the away fans in the roofless NE (?) corner like we used to; 2 000 or 10 000 who cares! As long as their singing goes nowhere, they get rained on more than us, and are within abuse - I mean banter of course - range!
Watford R, thanks for telling me that away fans don't jump turnstiles or come through 2 at a time. Having worked the turnstiles I know what goes on and when I see the aisles packed because there are more fans than seats, how else do you suggest they got in? Whilst the Vic rd end is easy to get into this happens. The family area was moved to the NW Vic end when the main stand closed. I don't know where else it could have gone as there aren't enough seats in the Lower Rous. By the way the club is still "under estimating" the attendance, presumably this is an accounting fiddle.
Compromise has to be made. I used to be in the Lower Rous but now I'm in the Rookery as it has a better atmosphere. I can't see being moved to the Lower Rous as a negative...I'd say the view is better! You're closer to the play on each side of the pitch....... Or move them to the Rookery.....there really is space in both stands. If they're not happy with it I'd just say tough....what's more important....a very view stubborn fans who would begrudgingly move anyway or getting a lot more revenue which we really need?
Good point Moose! well put! I agree for the bigger games where we know there will be a lot of visiting fans ,then give them all of the Vic road end ! Hopefully we can minimize what happened on Saturday , You cant please all the people all of the time , however I think your idea is the best alternative!
Depends who kicked it off really LB , I have been in the wrong end a few times and kept my mouth shut and repected the home crowd , if you dont do these common sense things ,then you cant be surprised if you get a kicking!
