3M still mot enough that would be a bargain for them ! That was where the Russos were good in not accepting first offers and holding out till they at least got decent deals!
I would certainly value him far higher, but from what I see, and think will happen, many clubs will be having a grand sort out, resulting in a lot of good quality players being available on free transfers. This can only have the effect of driving down the prices as many of those players will still be looking for substantial wages.
I suppose we have to hope that he scores a hatrick on saturday take his tally to 30 and hope lots of clubs bid for him which would drive up the price! If Mr B has filled or financed 3.5mill we need at least that amount plus a bit more for strengthening the team ! Lowest lfigure for me would ã5Many less than that is a giveaway! other things here to consider is possible points deductions and fines that qpr might get ! He doesnt want to move to another championship club!
Agree that recent years with the Russo influence seem to be the only time we've ever got value ( e.g. Hameur ,King, Lee Williamson & Doris) - we usually seem to get rogered by the buyers. One consequence of such widespread comment on our financial plight is likely to be that we witness the same done to the club again this summer.
Hate to say it but he would be a good buy for QPR..... how old is H now? Is he nearing the end of his shelf life?
i agree, i think ã3m is nowhere near enough, and i hope we don't just accept the first offer that comes along. i'd love to see a bidding war and that we'd get more than we expect! Meanwhile, if Michael Bryan is right, maybe he won't go after all!
Just read something from someone, maybe or not in the know, who is suggesting that there may be a player plus cash deal coming from Villa. The player being offered is of course Andy Weimann.
At first i thought Graham was still playing under his original contract, a deal that would have expired at the end of next season - if this was the case then ã3m would have been a fair price (remember that a transfer fee is to buy the players' contract, not specifcally the player himself). But apparently DG signed a new 2 year deal in September, with the option of an additional 12 months, so i think any potentially suitors will have to cough up a bit more than the rumoured figures. At the same time we have to be realistic - its common knowledge that the club needs to sell to be sustainable, so we know we wont get "true" value for DG. Thats if we sell him of course, im still hopeful we dont
