The wheels were off a couple of weeks ago, I think we're down to the frame and a couple of chairs by now.

Interesting times ahead for the Eagles, play-offs are pretty much out of reach, and Andy Reid is going to be out on his arse probably sooner rather than later.

I was channel hoping and put on BBC3, and saw the last like 10/15 minutes of Some Girls. It was surprisingly funny, more so than you'd expect from the advert. Plus, nice usage of Scala and Kolchency Brothers' cover of Creep by Radiohead during one of the football games.

So a thriller in Candlestick ends with a draw between the 49ers and the Rams. Bizarre game, refs botched the clock and lost 2 minutes off of the clock, stupid fouls in overtime cost the Rams, missed field goals... Funny old game, ending with a tie seems a bit ****, would prefer if they just kept going til someone managed to stumble to a win.

People are finally coming around to Luck being better than Griffin, well deserved.

Also why is gomarchingin only temporarily banned (and allowed a sustained return run) while the fairly harmless Banana keeps getting banned? Banana in, gmi out. The people have spoken (the people represented by me, because I'm the smartest)

I used to hold the EU in high esteem, but I'm not a great fan of the EU anymore to be honest. The thing is, they have ruined the economies of a lot of the lesser nations by making them join the euro and by all these subsidies that have been implemented over the years, be it fishing one's or agricultural one's they have hindered the heartbeat of the smaller nations that depend on these industries. You can argue that the EU money that they gave to poor countries such as Portugal and Greece would be a positive action is many people's eyes and it was, these countries wasted the money in some ways, but they couldn't reinvest in the state because there was little to reinvest in. You've got tourism industry and that's it, the other industries have been wiped out.

The introduction of the euro made prices rise sky high, but the wages didn't follow this treand, thus inducing a huge disparity in the price of goods and services and the wages of the "average joe".

They have taken away more and more democracy from us EU citizens. How many of the laws that are imposed in the UK and many other countries are made in the EU I ask you? 75% are made in the EU regarding laws made in the UK by people did we didn't even elect, you have the EU elections in every EU state country in order to represent your country in the EU parliament, of course you do, but these chaps don't affect the laws made in Brussels, its the people higher up that no one voted for, "they work" their way up to power...

The EU is just like the Soviet Union version 2.0, democracy is fading away quickly. They only started this union to gain more power and control as the countries that participated in WWII were left devasted and together they would become stronger, then the other reasons are economic one's not social and peace keeping that was essentially a little thing to say to us to keep us happy.

The EU will split up eventually that is for sure.

1-This would be a celebration of the peace that has gradually spread throughtout the continent since the years after the 2nd WW to the present day, 2-the removal of dictatorships to parliamentary democracies, the free movement of people throughout the member countries and the improvement in living standards across the member states.

1-Adriatic war, the troubles in Ireland etc...
2-That is a good thing, but I'm sure that non EU countries such as Switzerland agreed to this due to the Schengen treaty?
3-Portugal and Greece have suffered thanks to the EU and their downfalls aswell.

They want me to have a 30 days absence from this forum, I rejected it and offered a 20 day absence, they rejected it and now we have come to standstill. I want to come to an agreement with them, but they don't seem to want to cooperate with me. They rule with an Iron fist and I think they need to change it.

This should have nothing to do with nationality. We're commemorating a vast amount of human life that was lost, and it doesn't matter which countries they came from or which side they fought on. We're not just remembering the soldiers from our own country. Each German death was equally tragic.

The EU has become a corrupt organisation intent on feathering their own nests. The EU auditors have refused to sign off the accounts for the 18th year running due to an inability to show how money has been spent! Ford gets EU funds to invest in Turkey, and then closes plants in Belgium and Swaythling, transferring jobs to low wage areas. At a time when national governments are being forced to slash public spending, the bloated EU insists on a shamefull increase in its budget. The EU wastefully supports overproduction by EU farmers, forcing consumers to overpay. The EU pushes for political and fiscal integration when most citizens want the EU to be a simple trade association. I would not support any celebration of the EU!
