Not sitting down right apparently! http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/premier-league-owen-told-sit-straight-115132228.html Premier League - Owen told to 'sit up straight' Stoke City striker Michael Owen has been handed a simple piece of advice to try to stop his chronic hamstring problems - he has been ordered to sit up straight. The 32-year-old former England forward, who has only played 54 minutes for the Premier League side since joining at the start of the season, left Manchester United at the end of last term after injury had again threatened to wreck his career. "Michael is so nervous about it being a long-term injury," Stoke boss Tony Pulis told the Daily Mail newspaper. "It's more to do with his posture than anything else. That affects the hamstring. It's all about the alignment of his back and spine, making sure everything's in place." Owen started off at Liverpool before moving to Real Madrid, Newcastle United and Manchester United but the 2001 European player of the year has often missed large chunks of seasons because of injury. "We believe there are a lot of problems that you get in muscular injuries and the source is your spine not being in line. But we knew this might be a stop-start campaign for him, especially at the beginning," Pulis added.
the campaign never started did it?, mind you its now a very good excuse for not playing him much in the future, as Freddie Mercury said "ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST". We just need to bring back Delap and Mama and Pulis will have his fantasy fulfilled once again. I wouldnt mind but if we had offered Ian Holloway the job he would have ripped our hands off. I think he has gone to Crystal Palace, however we are stuck with Pulis for a merry few years yet!!!!.
Why buy him if he thought it would be a stop start situation. Is this all about who he's signed for his CV, cus he is not utilising the talent he has signed to anywhere near theit potential!!
That's not a beard it's a burn from when he fell over in our extremely long grass. ask Arsene about it he can wax lyrical on all things wrong with Stoke.
Can't see this going well for us. Will hardly get any minutes and doubt he'll score. Shame but I think many of us predicted this.
