On talk sport after the game,ripped a reporter for printing comments about being in a gold fish bowl,said if i was in a gold fish bowl it was the best gold fish bowl ever, i loved it at newcastle,commented on his boy being a geordie a few other things and thanked the fans for the reception he got

 

He'll always be a bit of a cult hero. He shouldn't just be remembered for 3 goals vs the Mackems, he should be remembered because he scored 30 goals in 2 seasons and lead the team very well.

I think the dressing room atmosphere was at it's best with Carroll, Barton and Nolan.

 

We definitely lacked the leadership those three would bring to our team today. Although the only player I'd want back out of them is Carroll.

Got to give credit to the guy, he always did his best for us and always seems to have something decent to say about us. Hasn't tried to put us down or cocked a snook at us.

 

Don't know how many people noticed this, but before kick off Nolan gave a clap to both sets of fans and then at the end of the game, then both Carroll and Nolan applauded our fans after the game on the way off the pitch... Carroll also did this as he got subbed against us for liverpool so fair play to both

 

Good guys the both of them and I take back some of my slating of Nolan for the goldfish bowl comments. I should no better than to take the medias word for things!
