    We started off playing poor football then it got much worse... 4-4-2 football is like a flat pint, it resembles the good stuff but it's just an awful version of a nice cold pint.

    Alan Pardew has an 8 year contract, 8 years of flat 4-4-2 football... I'd like to give my sympathy's to those who should feel lucky to be a season ticket holder.

    This, the game plan seems to be give it to HBA to see if he can score/create a worldy. We don't have any identity this season.

    And that is what I'm unhappy with. He is holding on to the ball for too long when let's face it the opponents will always know from now onwards how dangerous he is. They'll always be keying on him and not to say he can't do it anymore, but he needs to learn when to pass to an OPEN teammate (Simmo, Willo not included)

    We have had a lot of poor performances this season and some of the points Marvo raises above I agree with eg lack of teamwork/communication, being outplayed. I don't agree we were lucky last season though; we achieved what we achieved precisely because we had the teamwork and the communication. Consistently had the teamwork and the communication.

    So it does beg the question, which I've thought about raising several times before now, where has this teamwork/unity gone? It's not as if we've had a massive overhaul of the first team, it's mainly the same players from last season that we did so well with. I find it difficult to explain how virtually the same team with the same manager and coaching staff can play so consistently poorly this season when they did so well last season.

    This season the characteristics of our play have been a slow start, conceding the first goal and playing poorly. Yes last season was last season and this was always going to be different, but this different?

    Last Season players all had things to prove, and I feel that with them having done so well last season they've done what they needed to. Either that or the lack of competition from an inactive Summer Transfer Window has left them all complacent.

    Stop aiming for Willo in setpieces. I'd say it out lond, that bloody bamboo can't get any velocity on his headers and its horrible to watch them constantly bombard balls to him!
