I can't say I watched the whole match I've only seen highlights but my view is that Hughes should have gone after the home loss to West Ham.

QPR have been on the box a fair bit this season so I've had the opportunity to watch. There is undoubted quality in the side but you seem to be playing as a side with no belief they can win. It's a bit of a dark hole at the moment and with United away and Sunderland away (midweek) emerging after Southampton is home.

If we lose on Saturday against Saints it will be followed by a loss at ManUre and probably a loss at The Mackems, 4 points from 14 games would be terminal. Can we risk keeping MH for Saturday's game? As you say, the West Ham game was typical of where we spent the greater part of the game giving the opposition a head start. 11 games gone and no set team pattern of play, no Plan B and confidence ebbing away at an alarming rate, how long will TF take to get the message?...

I don't think any new/interim manager should have to start away at Old Trafford and then a few days later go up to Sunderland. If a new manager comes in it should be this week or IMO next month. I still think you'll get out of it because of the quality of the squad but I do not think Hughes is the man to take QPR forward to a level the owners want them to be at.

I could be wrong but I thought the aim of the owners was to make QPR into a global brand and increase revenue streams in order to build a new stadium. That isn't possible unless you are realistically a top half team. I don't think Hughes can or ever will achieve this and that is why I think he should be sacked, not because of relegation fears because I don't think you will go down. The quality of the league has declined so much I still think you could lose your next 3 games and stay up easily.

Unfortunately TF thought the best way to do this was to paint a plane in qpr colours, play a few second rate Asian teams, sign a 30+ year old Korean has-been and announce his grand plans on twitter every second week. He forgot that what happens on the pitch is even more important to long term success. He won't sack MH but the guy has lost the fans so he is a dead man walking.

Which is why he needs to go now, if he wins against Saints, he will lose 4 of the next 5 winnable games anyway and the new manager will have 15 less points to play for.

Hughes will never come back from this, how many managers have? People go on about red nose but that was what, 30 years ago and hes one of the best managers in the game and Hughes isnt.

    Agreed sooper.
Redknapp should be installed tomorrow morning and let him have a right go at Southampton at Loftus Road. The atmosphere would be electric. As it is though, Tony won't do anything and the atmosphere on Saturday will be muted, as it was against Reading. I really fear that Tony will leave it too or late OR we'll win on Saturday and Hughes will get a load more games!

You never want to give a new manager 2 away games, especially when the 1st is against Man U. The players will just think "here we go again". Start him off against Saints and its likely to be a win and the whole team will have increased confidence and belief for the season.
