I don't really ken what you're getting at staines. I presume those who are lucky or daft enough to go watch Qpr are there to support them hence the reason for going. Although saying that, you have a point as i watch a few Leeds games but don't support them!
Amen...think the Op was given a few harsh responses....Entirely entittled to his opinion...Not the 1st time its happened and wont be the last..that I can gaurantee!
I think so too. But the whole 'did you even attend the game' comments really ticked me off. Some of us don't live in england. so what? besides, watch the game on television with replays or sit at one end of the ground....I wonder who's in a better position to analyse the whole game?
Agreeed mate, i posted the same thing last week hen Fingls told me that because i dont go to the game my view is not as valid....absolute garbage.. after explaing that we get 30 diffrent camera angles, player cam, unrestricted views, instant replays of events etc, the only reply was that he refused to commment...found out i think Personally i find the comment very offensive and lacking any credibility what-so-ever. i know there are a few posters who dont agree with me and believe you only know anything about the game or a player if you are at the game..total bo**ocks!
What i was trying to say Bob, is that from my experience of travelling to QPR, there is often a vocal minority of 'Supporters' (if thats what they call themselves), who don't actually 'support' the team and seem to find great pleasure in doing nothing but vocally (and often quite aggresively) find fault in what they see. I'm not just talking about recently but it's happened for many years. Surely you've seen them too ?? (or maybe it's just me)
I don't really get this "Played well were unlucky" line.It can hold water for three or four games but eleven? Something is fundamentally wrong with your team and suspicions must centre around Hughes. If you don't do something soon the situation will be beyond help. You need another 34 points from 27 games. That's a scoring rate that would put you in the top half of the table at present.
It doesn't matter who they bring in now I don't think we can wave a magic wand and turn it round now, there are fundamental weaknesses in the side that weren't addressed in the close-season and won't be sorted out until January at the earliest. Our defence is suspect and we can't score, the two basic fundamentals of survival. THAT is why Hughes must go...
The sad fact is that the Stoke keeper made a great save from Granero and one other save I can think of How the original OP can praise the team is beyond me clueless
Well, not a warm welcome for a newbie (assuming he is not a WUM). So, welcome sandsofporto and I hope your baptism of fire has not put you off from posting in the future. I wanted to watch MOTD before posting since I do not go to away matches generally. (BTW, the 'whose a better fan?' debate is spurious and not worth wasting effort on. We are all passionate about QPR on here and express that as time and finances allow. End of. IMHO). I'm afraid a lot of the frustrated passion was directed at you for posting what some have been saying for 2 months now ie 'not all bad', 'good opportunities', 'we played well at times' etc. The problem is that for even the most ardently positive poster on here, those sentiments have now worn thin. The facts (no opinion at all) are: 1) Traore watched the ball sail past him to land at Adams' feet. 2) Taarabt tried to be too clever (again) 3) Granero had a great shot saved 4) Cisse was poor 5) We are rooted to the bottom with no win in eleven games! I agree with Shearer. Next week is crunch time for me. A win against Southampton may instill some confidence to help turn this around. Anything else should result in Hughes leaving (though he probably won't) and our continued downwards spiral to the Championship.
No we don't, we need the same points and a better goal difference than the team in 18th. That's how a league works not on a specific points basis!
Morning 74. You have been consistently positive on here. I was but I am now leaning significantly towards the negative. Strong smell of coffee in the air! Where are you at now? Still positive or worried? Could be both, of course.
Morning RTID. Interesting one! Worried of course but not down and out. I take heart that we can still influence things ourselves and have the opportunity to do so. By that I mean we are not cut adrift yet and we have teams around us to play in the near future (Southampton, Villa, Sunderland). Win those and things will look very different but obviously accept we have the difficult task of doing that! I'm a little uneasy about what the atmosphere will be like next week judging by the mood on here. I really hope the crowd focus on getting behind the team pre and during the match rather than listening to any boos and anti Hughes stuff. Losing patience but ever hopeful! Was really looking forward to my end of season told you all so post but agree its looking less likely now!
You are right of course, but statistically 38 points has been the mean for survival. Some seasons it's forty, others thirty five or six. This season it does look like a lower number but remember it's that seventeenth place total that is crucial as you point out.
Quite right. I was thinking exactly the same while reading through. I will be at my first game of the season next week, but I have watched every minute on the telly. Next weekend is going to cost me about the same amount of dosh as a season ticket costs. Anyone who says that I am not "Totallyqpr" because I have moved to Sweden is a twat.
Thanks for that. You are right, of course. Whilst in our hands, there is always some hope. The mood on here seldom seems to represent the mood before a game. Hope next Saturday is not the exception! Perhaps the mood at half time might be the key.
I will throw my fourpenneth in here and say. I am disappointed in yesterday but I am more disappointed in the responses to Sands first post. As other people have said...he has spent his money, he is entitled to say what ever he wants... From my watching on a link and on MOTD, we deserved more....under a different cloud of confidence we would have won....That is what Sands is saying too. It is true! All we can do is support the team...slagging all and sundry off will not help In fighting will not help...We are stuck with Sparky till he goes and that is TF decision not ours..so for Gods sake get behind the team...Support them , but more important lets support each other. We are all hurting over this. No one is enjoying this. Luckily I am away now for a while for work reason (so will only intermittently be posting) ...so will leave you all to tear each other apart.... But anyone who is still in one piece I would love to meet at the Fulham match (have got my ticket now)...I assume we are still meeting somewhere. I will be able to recognize half of you by the knives sticking out of your backs Enjoy the carnage
Mate, I sit at home on my a_se cause I live in Oz ( sorry, weekly airfares a tad out of reach ) ............... also, I been a loyal QPR fan probably before you were born. ............. and the facts are, if something looks like sh_t, smells like sh_t and carries the managers badge .......... we know it's sh_t and we won't support it any longer.
