It's football,- anything can happen. Yes, we could get a stuffing, but we could win just as easily. I can't help it, I love the build-up to a game and I'm always optimistic (the exception was the Anzhi game because of the circumstances and the squad). If we lose I'll be like a polar bear with piles but for now, I'm well up for it.
Would love to see this but know it wont happen --------Gerrard------Sahin--------- ---------------SUSO------------- Assaidi-------------------Sterling-- -------------Suarez------------- Wont happen as Joe Allen has to play but would like to see that.
I'm not a great fan of stats but from what I've seen of both sides I feel very confident that we will have far more possession of the ball. Our problem is how to convert that possession into goals.
Don't forget to put the cat out before kick off Saint rather than volleying it out after the final whistle
I've absolutely no inside information. However, My gut reaction is that Rodgers will sacrifice our forward line and play exactly the same type of game that Swansea played against us at Anfield last season. Sure we will keep moving forward but it will not be until we have broken their spirit that Suarez and Sterling will be allowed free reign. For the majority of the game we will retain possession - even if that means passing the ball back into our own half rather than play risky balls into their box. The longer the game goes on without them scoring the tighter our midfield control will become. It will become a game of midfield strangulation.
I'll be watching in the pub- all manner of things could encounter my ire on the way home. But of course that will never happen- because we'll win. Night, gents. And Bluff.
I think this would be a brilliant time to play Chelsea, on paper they are the better team but they have been poor recently and we know Liverpool can put a decent performance in against the better teams. I think Chelsea will win but i wouldn't put money on it, its the sort of game i like to watch anyway will be a win win situation for us Manchester United fans.
Who in your comment are Celtic and who is Barca?, if you see us as a side that cant keep possession of the ball you're drunk Diego, our problem is passing the ball to death without someone on the end of it all to convert the chances we make, on the other hand Chelsea have the luxury of having more than one striker that can convert their their possession into goals.
They also have one or two midfielders who can keep the ball and pass, what makes you think they will not keep possession better than yourselves?
Two teams that play in the champions league, you may come across them some day, one of them is quite good at possession football they call it tippytappy.
You mean Celtic that won the Champions Cup before Utd and their manager never even got a knighthood for being the 1st manager in Britain to win it?, and Barca who we've actually beat on their own ground more than once? Yeah i think iv'e heard of them.
Watched both legs, 1st leg deserved win but the 2nd leg they were lucky not to get beat bigtime and go out.
