On a related note, just seen on the football league show that Sharp got a real soft penalty for Forest, didn't let him take it though.
Pretty much. Part of me feels greatly aggrieved that we weren't given the penalty which would have almost inevitably lead to us winning the game, but also a large part feels that it shouldn't have mattered and that we should have been comfortably in the lead anyway. It should have been almost identical to the Villa game where the penalty was the cherry on top to take us to 4-1. I feel we were really hard done by, but we shouldn't just dismiss dropping two points by saying 'Well we were robbed by the ref', because really we didn't play well enough (in the final third, anyway) to win the game when we were in a perfect position to win it comfortably.
The problem is the referees don't have the balls to award us penalties since Lambert will be taking them
Ha ha... Well it's the same as awarding a goal isn't it. I don't think football rules allow for just straight awarding goals?
Listening to Saints player there was one incident before Adam was booked where he stayed on his feet and Dave Merrington commented that had he gone down he would have had a penalty, and he was too honest, when he does go to ground he gets booked for it. With only the commentary to go on as no live streams were working for the game it appeared the ref had no intention of giving out a penalty during the game. I was able to watch all the forest /leicester game with a stream and was amazed at the soft penalty given in forests favour. Good to see so many ex-saints (and one on loan) in that game.
