Hughes bemoans QPRâs missed chances 10/11/2012 by West London Sport QPR boss Mark Hughes bemoaned his teamâs inability to take their chances following their defeat at Stoke. Rangersâ 1-0 loss meant they returned to the bottom of the table, with Southampton, who drew with Swansea, leapfrogging them. Adel Taarabt missed a great chance for Hughesâ side, who are still without a league win this season. âWeâve had this conversation too many times after games unfortunately,â said Hughes. âI thought we were the dominant team but the key at the moment is that we have to take our chances. We created good opportunities but unfortunately didnât take them.â Rangers were better at the back than they have been for much of the campaign, but again conceded after failing to deal with a set-piece. âStoke will always put the ball into the box and you have to deal with things dropping around you,â Hughes acknowledged. âUnfortunately we made a mistake â one of the few we made at the back. I thought defensively we were very good â better than we have been. âAt the moment, every mistake we make is getting punished.â
