Harsh as people like Osama Bin Laden don't represent any religion , even though they claim to do so.

The problem with that joke is that Islam is the fastest spreading religion.

Anyone else not think it's strange that he was shot in the North but was buried at sea in the south?

The death pictures also look very dodgy of him as well, and this was America surly they would have taken more pleasure in parading him around as a trophy!!!!

Can't help feeling that if he has died it was more likly down to the illnesses they claimed he had or he did some time ago and have just used it as a "feel good" factor for the masses.

Maybe I'm just being sceptical, but it doesn't add up to me

All that matters is that he is dead.

However, if the US did get him, we will never hear the ****ing end of it from those arrogant bastards!

If they were to bury him in a northern sea then it would be a tad problematic ;)

In all seriousness the best resolution is his death.

Take him prisoner and every fundamentalist around the globe will take hostages demanding his release. One person to release or thousands of hostages die...

All in all; if he was taken alive no government on the planet would announce it for the above reason.

Good that he is reportedly dead but I don't think it means anything more then he will be used as a martyr. I wouldn't be surprised if there is more terrorists attack because of his death. Also I doubt they would of wanted to parade his body around, very VERY bad idea and pointless.
Pakistan really need to sort themselves out.

Sky news were saying this morning Obama watched it all happen via a helmet cam on one of the SEALs. All very Tom Clancy, I doubt we'll ever see that footage but fairly certain they'll release pictures of the body at some stage soon. The Septics have to show that they've genuinely killed him if not the conspiracy theorists will be hard at work. As tommytoon said the pics that came out yesterday were fakes but I'm fairly certain we'll get something released by the US govt fairly soon.
They couldn't go parading the body, that would make him even more of a martyr in the eyes of the radicals but they also need to show proof. The dickheads dancing around Time Square & outside the White House shouting "USA" really won't have helped matters either though.

I was thinking that last night.

Often the US press and citizens are outraged that a minority of civilians dance and celebrate when attacks on the US and the West are announced.

    Pot and Kettle.

Also; is anyone else sick of the overuse of the word 'closure'?

I hate how the US think that they are the only country to have received a terrorist attack. As I said earlier, it couldn't have been a worse country to find him, we will never ever hear the end of it!

Considering prior to Sept 11th they used to pass around a hat in many Irish pubs in Boston & NY "for the boys" they genuinely reak of hypocrisy (sp?), many of them used to support PIRA etc and as soon as it happens to them it's a totally different story. AS someone else said earlier many of the radical Muslim group were originally funded by US money to destabilise the Russian involvement in Afghanistan & Iran's war with Iraq. Previous US foreign policy is at fault for a large portion of the problems we have today with terrorism.

A (as best I can recall) quote from a French politician in 1946/47 after the UK and the US struck a deal involving the Ruhr valley and occupying forces.

"A beast has been created [in relation to America adopting a foreign policy]"

    He was right.

Spot on. The hypocrisy of that reaction has always annoyed me.

As has the US' eagerness to remove dictators in their efforts to spread world democracy so long as the dictator is in charge of an oil rich country. Funny how the evil dictators of Myanmar, Zimbabwe and countless other african and asian non-oil rich countries have never managed to pose sufficient threat to necessitate an invasion in the name of liberty.
