I have come to the conclusion that the current Leeds squad are nothing more than basic League One players and that our manager simply doesn't have the knack (that he had at other clubs) to stop the rot. Warnock built this team (forget the Bates doesn't give funds) and it''s full of ****, very very average squad players with little or no technical skills. I said for months that we needed to get players like Aluko (Hull) in and I personally know he would have jumped at the chance of playing for Leeds, yet Warnock failed to even have him watched, preferring the thuggish style of players, who just kick and run their way through a game.
We are a League One side and that's where we deserve to be. We may come back with a squad that is good enough to compete in The Championship and then on to the EPL, but not with Warnock and certainly not with Bates as a Chairman.
This weekend must go down as one of the worst weekends to be a Leeds fan, for years, even past the relegation periods.

I agree these are dark days for leeds its now a case of damage limitation and a scrap to stay in the championship, i was right behind the warnock apointment and couldent have been more wrong his record is far worse than larryies, he is sadly past it but sacking him right now will acheive nothing, lets get this take over done and take stock before any knee jerk reaction

Clarkey - I personally don't see NW adding any value at the moment. Can't see how he can turn things round as he doesn't motivate and looks like he has lost the squad

We need to build slowly thro a clear style of play and player in every position with a focus on strong fast passionate football and a team ethic

The same happened with Larry. Perhaps our squad is filled with petulant prima donnas who don't like hearing the truth that they're not as good as they think they are.

I'd love to see it happen.

With the manager and the players we got at the moment I don’t think we would do well even in non-league.
I’m sorry to say that the games we have won this season has been more like a freak accident than well played and deserved<ok>

Five months later and the same person says "I have come to the conclusion that......our manager simply doesn't have the knack........ We may come back with a squad that is good enough..... but not with Warnock...."

It took you a while to get there boab. Still, no point in getting rid now as the damage has already been done. Let him run out his contract and try a fresh face next year

I think we should get rid as soon as possible but then I have thought that since his appointment, nice to see people starting to realise he doesn't have what it takes and encourages a **** style of football. I wouldn't trust him with funds in January to be honest

I wasn't greatly impressed by his appointment either but to be fair Josh he probably hasn't had the funds available that he expected.
I can't see any more money being given in January either so my opinion is that we have to just hope for the best with what we've got and not pay out more compensation.

Sorry, Boab, but you're completely wrong. OK, we're playing crap, and we're not having the best of luck (like Saturday), but we've still got 20 points, and are only 7 points off the playoff places. In fact, 5th to 19th place are only separated by 7 points one third of the way through the season. The Championship has never had so many strong teams or so much investment - ever! And we're still on a shoestring trying to compete with all this. The fact is that all teams are taking points from each other. Competition for promotion/playoff places has never been so unpredictable. Warnock did what he could with the little money he had. I'd hazard a guess that he was promised funds prior to the season starting for his 'marquee' signings, but the money never materialised. Did he walk out on us, as he rightfully could have? No. He likes a challenge, and he stuck with it. And so should we.

Thuggish players? You say it like it's all of them! Who exactly could be described as thuggish, apart from Brown (and I'm delighted he's 'thuggish, btw!). Our keeper? Nope. Our defenders? Nope. Our midfielders? Nope. Our strikers? Nope. Bit of a sweeping statement, Boab, and no substance to it whatsoever.

Technical skills? In england? You jest me. Ours are mostly english players. Haven't you noticed a dearth of technical players in england in general? Get real, it's the championship and we have a distinct shortage of the type of player who generally has good technical skills i.e. foreigners. And no money to get them in. We have to work with what we can afford. End of.

Aluko. Agree on that one - would love to have signed him too. But again, perhaps we couldn't afford him. Who knows? Do you? you seem to hint that you're ITK.

But a league 1 team? Grow up!!

As an Ipswich fan we had something similar with both Keane and Jewell, both had a pretty long stay of execution and on both occasions they had gone well beyond the point of no return. Sacking a manager now does seem a little brash (unless you are 5 points adrift at the bottom as we were) but I'd imagine the sensible thing to do is give him until mid December (after we beat you at ER?) and then bring a new guy in with some funds to spend in January. I can't see whoever is in charge giving him money if they don't see him as a long term option.

There is one saving grace, the fact there are still a few teams worse than you this season. Bristol, Posh, Ipswich (currently) plus others but things can change so quickly in football that come Christmas you may be talking about promotion and singing Warnock's praises
