True, personally I think the Colin W a n k e r post match interview will be very good competition for the Pearson one, can't wait to see it
Colin wouldn't talk about the game, said he was too upset following one if his best players getting a double leg fracture.
Didn't he say after he was beaten by Forest 7-3 that he wouldn't allow anything similar to happen again? I'd expect the sack if I were him.
Don't think he actually commented on the game that night did he? Thought all the talk was about Diouf since he'd stood over the player taunting him about his career being over (Mackie's leg was broken in a 50:50 with Givet). As far as I know today nobody was out of line over the injury.
Anybody know how peltier is doing? beckford scored the winner today...oh how I wish they were still here
We just lack a clinical striker to play with Nugent. Waggy looked back to the old Waghorn and played very well. But his first touch and finishing let him down. We should try and loan someone like Charlie Austin, offer them 3M for the loan and make it so we sign him on a free in Jan Send them Beckford while we at it aswell
... or the missus on the blob ... which she isn't, ............ add a bottle of pinot and at least I can get rid of some of the frustration of being robbed of beating the old enemy ....
waghorn is clearly lacking confidence in front of goal..but he is playing well and is grafting ... stick with the lad...if he stays fit he will start scoring goals...
I said Waggy was a good player IF Nigel could get him going. He just needs a goal to get him going but I still dont think he will be prolific enough. Other then Nugent no one else has really scored goals.
I hope we really do go all out for Austin in Jan. He's the missing piece of the puzzle I think. I see Mackail-Smith has got eight in 16 now. Not a bad return...
Austin will go to the Premier League - And to top it all bloody Beckford scored the only goal in Huddersfield's game today
Probably right, I can see Reading breaking the bank to sign some strikers in Jan as theirs arent doing too well
Kenwyne Jones on loan anyone? I know Nigel dismissed it but Nuge needs a good strike partner and at the minute he's not got one
Austin may be signed by a Prem club, but first I think he needs to prove he can take the pressure of a promotion push. I think coming to us, with the prospect of playing in the Prem next season would be a good move. That's what Billy Sharp did (although it didn't work out well for him!). If we do struggle to sign someone, then we have to give Beckford another chance. What's his goal-per-game ratio for Huddersfield now?
