Seems like a bit of a clearout at Williams. Resignations to run to end of 2011?. I think they will all be on 'gardening leave' much earlier than that !!!

Say what you want, tarnished he may be, but Coughlan has proved himself to be an extremely capable chief engineer and at this moment in time beggars cant really be choosers and Williams really are in the gutter here.

I don't think so, Flavio is too honest for them.

As to Williams, anyone else think it may be the cosworth powerplant?

Coughlan looks to be put in place for the 2012 FW34 car while Micheal will continue with the 2011 FW33 car. The may make the choice to move Coughlan oven in place earlier and put Sam on 'Gardening leave'

Williams are falling back down the grid and sadly vanishing out of the headlines and then eventually history.
    Sorry but that is true.

Im quite suprised williams have remained in the sport for so long since BMW left them. They keep promising they will return to the top but they dont seem to have the spark of genius or the magic driver to get them where they want to be. A serious reshuffle was needed.

It is sad but I do agree with you. 1998 was the beginning of the end and it seems there has been no way back for them since. Its been quite a painful one to watch in all honesty, and it looked mid-noughties that they were on the right track, but I really think we are looking at William's twilight years in the sport

Williams must be very desperate to hire a cheater like Coughlan. Even though his two year ban is over, Williams have tarnished their reputation by hiring him.

Coughlan's been given a vote of confidence by fine(d), upstanding citizen Pcheat Symonds.

Imagine a team with Flavio as Team Principal, Pat Symonds as Team Director, Coughlan as chief engineer and Nigel Stepney as chief mechanic.

Oh how fun that would be
