I think we are all fed up of hearing it, but one win is not going to light up our season. Obviously confidence will grow with a win, but Hughes just does not react to the flow of the game enough to allow us to get a run of wins. Like today for example - Stoke the team who were winning made 3 subs. We made none until BZ came on too late. But as soon as BZ came on we started playing long balls to him - now is it me or does that seem crazy against stoke? And why the hell did Mackie not come on to at least give the defence something to think about!
Would bringing mackie on have really helped? He's less scary to defences than hoillet or taraabt, who he would have replaced. I think we would have lost regardless
one win is not going to light up our season Couldn't agree more....especially as the win we seem to be putting all our hopes on is at home to Southampton......long term Hughes is clearly not the answer!
Well it wasnt working as it was - so surely we have to try to bring some pace on to at least give them something to defend. Last 20 mins we were poor.
