Time for him to go in my opinion.

What's the point of him staying anyway if it is only for the rest of the season. We might as well get a new man in now and give him time to bed in.

This season had disaster written all over it looking back. Warnock might have done us more of a favour to tell Bates where to stick it when it was apparent that there was no money to go after his first choices.

The season is literally over after only 1/3 of the games.

I said before the season started that Warnock walking would have done us more favours than staying.

~6 months left on Warnock's contract. I can't imagine there'll be that much compo to pay out to get rid of him. Either way, it's an excuse to not spend it on players. It's also an excuse to make an amount roughly double Warnock's payout go missing and claim it was agent fees and administration costs and anything else, when in reality it's another bates bonus for having the brilliance to have a vision that nobody else has had, and nobody else will, and one that isn't working and never will.

Maybe the bottom line is that it does not matter who our manager is as long as Bates is in charge.

I actually like Warnock and respect what he has done at other clubs. The guy has a real passion for the game. It might be different if he was coming in with new owners and a bit of cash to spend.

What I would hate to see is some no-mark come in who is just another yes man to Bates. McCarthy just joined up with Ipswich and that Blackpool geezer has just switched clubs as well. There are not many proven championship managers out there that I can think of. We are pretty much screwed.

Don't do anything hasty lads, wait until you play us next Sunday and if you lose then Warnock can join the list of managers to get the boot after losing to wall. :D

Bloody hell mate, you'd think we were Bristol City with the way you're talking about the season being over at this point in the game. Where were Reading this time last year, 16th? There is still plenty of time for things to turn around, so for God's sake, don't be writing us off yet.

THIS IS WARNOCK'S TEAM, IT IS HIS PLAYERS AND THE WHOLE ISSUE WITH THE QUALITY OF PERFORMANCES AND THE VERY AVERAGE SQUAD IS DOWN 100% TO WARNOCK. Quit now and retire.

Regardless of the takeover, Warnock has too go. He is a football dinosaur, plays terrible football and has signed some dreadful players. Today the players had no game plan and looked terrified on the ball. We've gone backwards since appointing him. He needs to go and go now.

So was it Warnocks fault for Pearce getting sent off? No, I dont think so either!
Can you fault him for trying to win the game with 10 men & a goal down? No you cant.
If he had made the 3 substitutions at half time & we had won or even drawn the game, you would all be saying
    "f--king genius"
He also wasnt to know Austin would break his leg so early in the second half leaving us with 9 men for over 40mins.
You are more concerned about slagging off OUR manager. At least his primary concern is the welfare of one of our players.

Colin wasnt my most favourite appointment, but give the bloke a break. Would any of you critics work for a toe-rag like Bates? No I thought not!!

Can we PLEASE "March On Together"!!!!

But we were AWFUL even before Pearce's sending off. No pace, no shape, no vision, no composure. We have played dreadful football for most of the season and that IS the fault of Warnock. He has brought in players who are either poor or he can't get them to perform (Norris, Pearce, Peltier) and he play 4-5-1 at home without a recognised striker. HE HAS TO GO!

You see, the thing is that we have been ****e and played like ****e ever sins Warnock came in to the club. Yes we have had some very lucky wins, but even then we have played like ****e.

It's not just today's performance though is it? We've been dire for weeks.

One thing you can blame Warnock for is making a double sub at half time. Always risky and I'm not just pointing this out in retrospect.

However, the best thing he did do was bring Hall on, did very well in the second half and has to start for me next week.

I have sinned, I saw a little WWE and guess what i saw ? a giant ' Bates out' banner which will be seen all over the world 'cool'. Club needs big overhall, Warnock is only here for this season apparently? If new owners come in will they give big money to Warnock? I think they will loooking for Warnocks replacement for when he goes, which makes me think why give Warnock all this money when there will be a new manager anyway? I know they want premiership football but, they must go looking for Warnocks replacement and identify this person in plenty of time for next season to give him time and resource's.
P.S. not anti- or pro Warnock response just thinking out loud

I can think of a lot of reasons for Warnock staying. There are also strong arguments for him to go. For me though, there is one over-riding reason I don't want Warnock to go before his contract expires - the payout would include a gagging clause! I don't want him to be gagged. He's the very man to tell it as it was when he leaves, and I can't wait to see if all of our speculations at various times were correct or not.
