So, we've switched to 4-4-2, bringing Simpson off, and neither McLean or Proschwitz on.

Who on earth is partnering Aluko?

I understand that - however, I bet we would have taken Robbie Keane, given the chance. He was second in MLS scoring with 17 - and he plays on a team with some decent players!

I said Cooper wouldn't be if it could be avoided, and that our current selection was being determined by our man mountain being out injured. Has Cooper been getting put on the rack to stretch him as well as being put through a massive weight gain programme over the summer though? Last season when Hobbs was out we had times when Fryatt was the tallest outfield player, and he's only 5'10", with McShane being at least 6'. And I said it wasn't purely the height, it was that he also had a lack of strength to 'push' the opposition off the ball.

You can't win them all - I think I'm guilty of expecting too much really, a playoff place would realistically be very good for us. Our away form needs to improve though - roll on Birmingham.

I said last week Bruce needed to put in fresh legs and his post match interview with Burnsy confirmed that error. Far too many looked tired and lacklustre. Another game gifted to a promotion rival. 3 games in a week is too much. Thankfully not much damage done overall and still 4th in table.

Cardiff v. Middlesboro next sat. So something will give there. A draw would be best with Hull winning @ Birmingham. imo.

Sounds as if we were lacklustre and SB has said a few times, players can play 3 games in a week, but you cannot expect them to be at the same level in all the games. But to go the Cardiff, play poorly, but come away with a narrow defeat, which if Simpson goal had been allowed, might have change things in our favour, shows that we are not a bad team.
