I've seen videos of Giroud taking some fantastic penalties and he played fantastically today, would of thought he was the auto choice for it!

If we don't get another goal-scorer and a proper defensive midfielder in January, then I have to agree. We could 'do a Liverpool' this season.

But what if Giroud took it and missed? The amount of ridicule he'd get from fans, opposition and the media wouldn't do him any good especially as he's played superbly today. Arteta is the natural penalty taker and usually he's reliable.

Arteta had a poor game but he's been our most consistent player all season, why all the comments suddenly saying "he's ****" etc...

I think Giroud is coming good and we can score goals. It's in MF where we need to sure up, we got cut open far too easily today.

Last season we went on that run of 10 wins in a row or whatever it was to get us back into 4th, can't see that happening again

Signs of improvement today but still not good enough by a long way. I just don't think we have the personnel to reach the top level. 4th will be a real struggle this season unless we see some proper signings in January.

Anyway, that was just a pure mess of a game. In one game, our defence hold ups, and our attack fails and then in the other game, it's the opposite. Just signs of a seriously average team that has no balance and very few if any leaders and top class players.

He scored two goals and was high on confidence, Arteta had an unusually poor game and was obviously low on confidence. The guy who could nick a hat-trick vs the guy who was probably lowest on confidence.

It's pretty sad that we actually had an even game against Fulham at home today. They cut us up so easily, and the game should never have been that open, I honestly have no idea why we've become so bad.

Why not ? We started off **** last season and then came good.

Incidently, we were **** up until the NLD at Emirates, then we went on a great run <ok>

Next game - Spuds at home <ok>

Penalties are missed occasionally, it wasn't the weakest or poorest placed penalty ever. No need to dwell on that, we shouldn't have been in that position to start with.

I think we looked quite good at the start of the season, and I have no doubts about the 4th place. But I think some of the choices Wenger has made are questionable. Despite Ramsey's performance, Coquelin should never ever start a game if there is another choice. He really just wandered around the field.

We had the best player in the league last season, now we have a team of average players with no superstar

Giroud and Walcott were great today, i thought they would work well together when i first saw Giroud playing and its good to see them doing well.

Arshavin as usual makes something happen even though he didn't have long on the pitch.

Kosc made some very important challenges.

Coq was rubbish and then Ramsey came on and was rubbish. We needed someone to up there game as Arteta and Cazrola didn't have the greatest displays, but neither coq or ramsey did that. We had spells of the game were we were very good but we just kept making loads of stupid mistakes and giving them the ball just outside our area!

I'm looking forward to our young pole returning in goal and Rosicky making a return to the match day squad.

Whatever our moans and groans today, fair play to Fulham for a great game. I'm sure it was brilliant for neutrals. Agonising for us!

Because football fans tend to be annoying, fickle idiots. Arsenal seem to have more than their fair share.

Arteta was better than Cazorla today.

I actually fault Cazorla equally for the conceded penalty, he saw the guy was coming behind him and instead of disposing of the ball he casually passes it to him.

People say that we do not spend that much money and etc. But the squad we have now are on £143 Mil in wages.<yikes>

How the **** is that possible? This squad is nothing more than average.
