Big fat NO for me. 2 terrible blips in 2 season, playing players out of position, abysmal tactics, not getting anyone in in January to replace Bent, the 2 woeful derby games this season, ****e cup runs, poor half time team talks (I'd imagine) Would rather watch the 15 point team giving 100% than watching this lot giving 60%.
I think your right the big question is "has he lost the fans" because Quinn and Short know to well that their fight to fill the stadium is lost if they don't act. Unfortunately I think we have crossed that line and the damage is done.
yes, he stays..... wasn't so many months ago we all thought he was great, future england or man utd.... he many be a fat geordie, but he's our fat geordie, nailed his colours to the wall, and i want him to suceed...
Bruce must and will stay, in January he was the blue eyed boy and now he is the bad guy ?????????????? when we had a settled team we had one of the tightest defences in the league and we were picking up points from all the top 6 teams. The players do not take enough responsibility, look at the chances we missed on Saturday, Bruces fault or players ?? look at the poor defending players fault or Bruces. Too easy to blame Bruce , in one of the starngest seasons ever we made a good fist of it for 2/3 of the season our lack in depth and injury list have stretched our squad to the limit and it hasn,t stood up. Mr Short, Quinn and Bruce will strengthen the first 11 and the squad in the close season and we will try again, just like all the teams outside the top 6 will be doing.
Voted Yes.Our seasonal " slump in form" in the premiership predates Bruce. It's extremely frustrating but it's not exclusively a Sunderland problem.Look at Chelsea,Liverpool,Everton,Blackpool,Newcastle,WBA,Villa. All have had bad patches this year.Who knows maybe next season it will change? The squad is Brucies and he has earned the right to one final chance in my view.
I voted yes but have my doubts abotu SB. Another collapse in form like we've had this year and he has to go !
I think that Steve Bruce has to stay if we are to get the long term stability we all crave, it has been shown time and time again with Ferguson, Moyes, Wenger (all in the Prem tops six) that you have to give a manager a chance to develop a long term strategy. If after 4/5 years in charge we are seriously no better then make decisions on leaving, but for now stay patient and let him do his job. I know that the last 3 months have been rough but seriously the injuries have been freakish and anyone would struggle with substitutions etc. given the bench we had. I say give him at least another 2 seasons before even thinking about changing.
