  2. TBH I sincerely doubt Real Madrid would be interested now but, like JS, I wouldn't hold a grudge if he wanted to go <ok>

We could always offer a swap - SG gets to work with JM, we get back our 'fan' XA! Winners all round, I'd say...

James Pearch from the Echo says that LFC are expected to bring in at least 3 players and we'll probably spend no more than £20m.

Reina aggravated his injury but will return to training either today or tomos, therefore unlikely to be ready to face Chelsea.

Liverpool are hoping to appoint Alex Inglethorpe as reserve team boss very soon. Borrell will become Academy technical director.

Lucas likely to return to action by end of the month.

Tell ya what, couldn't do too wrong with Bryan Ruiz from Fulham. Can play as the Forward, in the hole, out wide, very silky player.

I disagree. He's the wrong sort of player, he's a false 9 player. We don't need one of those. What we need is a player that doesn't do creativity, does nothing for large periods, but only has one thing in his mind and thats putting the ball in the net. We need a 6 yard box finisher.

We need Hernandez or someone of similar quality. Out of Rooney, RVP & him, he's the one I'd take from United. The guy has a bit about him outside the box, but when he's in there, you know more often than not he's going to stick the ball in the net. The amount of chances we create he wouldn't need to be too involved in the build up just on the end of it.

  10. Apart from Stevie and Xabi wanting to play alongside each other again...!

  11. Good shout IMO. A lot of us are saying we need a poacher which Ruiz is not. But, does Rodgers want a poacher? I don't think he does. He likes the false number nine and wants the wide players to score goals. Ruiz does do this!

Ruiz wouldn't cut it at Liverpool, he scores from free kicks. Our free kicks are taken by Suarez, gerrard, Shelvey, so he would be 4th. We need Emile "the goal machine" Heskey

Exactly. Not what I want or think we need but what he will offer rodgers. Would have to pay 15 mil at least for him though.

A goal poacher impact sub could be useful.

Reason I put Ruiz is not only is he a good player but he is the type of player BR wants. Goal poacher would be more useful but I highly doubt we will get one as BR wants his attackers to be versatile.

  16. There is a clear difference in what us as fans want to see compared to what Rodgers will be thinking. We are crying out for a poacher but that wouldn't suit what Rodgers wants to do (queue the 'not score' comments).

Thats to a point. He's got enough verstatile forwards. He's got Assaidi, Sterling, Suso, Suarez and Borini. What he needs is a poacher, a goal-getter.

  18. How many of them are putting the ball in the net...?

As I said, we DO need a poacher, but do you think Rodgers is going to get one...?

Yes I do see him signing a box finisher. He's got forwards, he's got creative forwards, what he needs to finish it off is a goal-getter.

  20. And where will they play? He likes Suarez as the false number number and I can't see him moving too far away from his 433 (despite recent/todays systems), can you see Suarez playing as the AM in the midfield three?
