Dont buy the CI AN and that kid who used to do match reports on here KK. Ooh ooh only we can see what a great job he does bollocks, the reports on here used to be saying Harper was great too. Then it was Mckenna and now people are trying to say their more knowledgeable as they think Evans is "doing the unseen" work. Yes he is averagely!! Mckenna's played his whole career in the CC or below. Mediocre/average simple as. I always refer to the 3-2 defeat against Burnley, their CM walked through the challenges of Evans and Mckenna before slipping it to Rodrigues for the third goal. Never scored a goal last season Evans got one or two. Bruce will be asking Meyler for 6-8 goals if he's here the season. Something those two wouldnt get between them.
You always refer to the 3-2 defeat against Burnley ? Always ? I've never thought of McKenna as a goal scoring midfielder, as plenty have said on here he does the dirty work, never been a David Beckham type. Does the fact that Aluko hasn't played in the Premiership make him mediocre as well ? Better get rid of him as well. Like Party Hull and Kempton Kebab have said no problem with moving on and getting fresh legs, he's at the end of his career. Still think he could be a good squad player for us this season though.
The obvious flaw in this arguement alan is Aluko is 23, Mckenna's 34. He does the dirty work!! oh FFS its one part of been a CM. Oli Mckenna, TC Evans none are quite good enough. None are bad players just not good enough for us to get promoted. Big clue here-SB has brought in a player in the position we have the most cover in!! Think about it. Your not getting the second series either...............
Dont mind Mckenna good honest player trys his best, But not really a top 4/5 championship midfielder anymore not his fault. Meyler on the other hand is, Bruce is slowly upgrading positions in the team from midtable/average to top 6 quality.
I can only say it again, myself Party Hull, Kempton Kebab and I guess others if I could be bothered to trawl back through the thread are happy to see Meyler to come in, in fact I'd say I'm very very happy to see Meyler come in. I don't get your argument that if someone hasn't played in the Premiership they must be mediocre, way too strong a word for my liking. Like Ashbee McKenna is Marmite, people will probably never come together and agree on them. But for me McKenna has been a good Championship player who is towards the end of his career, not a lot he can do about that. I still think his engine is good enough to make a useful contribution this season, all be it as a squad player rather than a regular starter especially now Meyler has joined. And I can do as good a job as McKenna with a second series. Arm wrestling with Chas ( Chazz ) and Dave or what about Monkey Tennis ?
Brilliant. Sorry about the Buck Rodgers toilet. You should definitely come on here more often. Just seeing your name cheers me up no end.
