Kirsty didn't invite me so I did it meself. I invite you to do the same.

    1) I'm OK - Styx (Memories of leading this whilst stood on a table with the whole Pub in Embassy prior to a Friday night/Saturday morning out in the olde Bishop Lane Beer Keller)
    2) Man in the Mirror - Michael Jackson (How many of us have done that)
    3) Almost Home - Cover by Hootie and the Blowfish (After a long trip working away, always start playing this as you see the Humber Bridge)
    4) Tequila Sunrise - The Eagles (Inexperienced teenage foreign holidays with the boys, without a thought of what 'exotic' drinks will do to the colour of your toilet the morning after)
    5) Tiny Dancer - Elton John (The birth of a daughter!)
    6) Captain Jack - Billy Joel (Guaranteed 'to get you high tonight' no matter what the circumstances)
    7) Echos - Pink Floyd (Did I really smoke that stuff?)
    8) The Strongest Person I Know -The Streets (Your Mother will always be your best friend)

Which one would I not throw away at the expense of the others?: 3) (Ive played it so many times and its always great to get back to East Yorkshire)

Which book would I keep with me on my desert island?: Hull City vs Yeovil Town 4th Division Promotion celebrations photo album (It's about the only memory I have of the weekend after Ashbee's goal hit the net!)

NB Just listened to the archived John Bishop episode. It's quite inspiring!!

Last Nite- The Strokes. "Is This It" was the first album i really appreciated, did my French GCSE speaking test on them & saw them when they came to Hull. Before it was old 90s stuff i listened to and liked off TOTPs, but this was my sort of era & start of Indie music revival. Could've picked any song from that album.

Holy Roller Novocaine- Kings Of Leon from "Youth & Young Manhood", same as the Strokes really, but these were the first band i saw live on a swealtering hot day at Donny Dome. Bass Line is class. Again I could've picked any song from that album.

All Right Now- Free. Stook in my mind seeing my old man dancing to this on his own at a wedding. His over joyment at the song he'd requested had actually come on rather than some cheesy ****e and the embarrassment of my Mam. It included what Peter Kay would call "walk to the dancefloor dance" and act like a complete fool whilst doing air guitar while everyone starred at him.

Down In Tube Station At Midnight- The Jam. Mam used to play that song around the house quite abit.

One Day Like This- Elbow. Liked a few Elbow songs until this came around. It was also the time City got promoted and it was on the Sky Sports coverage of us going up. great times. Loved the live performance at the Olympic Closing ceremony as well.

I Am The Resurrection- Stone Roses. Always good to sing along when on in a club and when pissed including dancing like Ian Brown.

Okay, a proper one with only one Killing Joke track...

    1. Jimi Hendrix - Castles In The Sand
    2. Manic Street Preachers - Design For Life
    3. The Doors - LA Woman
    4. Killing Joke - Pssyche
    5. The Clash - White Man In Hammersmith Palais
    6. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
    7. The Who - Can You See The Real Me
    8. The Carpettes - Small Wonder

It would be much easier to do a top twenty, eight's not really enough.
