I have a decent relationship with the Sports Director at FC Nordsjaelland (DK) a Mr. Jan Laursen. A very nice man I might add who is in charge of my local team here. Their average gates are between 5-7,000 so Champions League this year has secured them for the next 15!
Now, I asked him if he ever looked at any blogs to gauge opinion and almost verbatum here is what he said:

"Here in Denmark we don't really have the same culture of blogging on Football, however there are a few and yes we do monitor them for public opinion. We are not a big club as you know but it was one way to gauge where we should hold our CL matches. (The options were FC Copenhagen's stadium or Brondby's). Financially it was slightly better for us at Brondby but most of the support was for FCK this was seen through Facebook,Twitter and Bold dk blog.

I am however sure that a club like QPR or any in the Premiership wants to secure as much income from it's name i.e branding and as such has to take in very seriously tools such as Customer Service Responses, Feedback etc.

The social media is now playing an enormous part in this and of course Blogs included - So I will say, probably Mark hughes is not looking through countless blogs himself, but he will be made aware of amount and general content, that is for sure, and as for Tony Fernandes, he's already a freak of this."

Now, I'm prepared for all the flak that this is BS etc but I'd place a large bet that these 3 start tomorrow :

    Granero
    Diakite &
    Faurlin.

Come on you rrrrrs and come on Hughes!!!!!

Agreed but hes start one of them on the wing in a midfield 4...with SWP on the other side.

Starting the shortest man in the league against a bunch of 6 footers is exactly the sort of thing hed do.

I don't think he will Flyer, believe Bowen's referral to Redknapp shows they're worried - never ever seen that before from any manager under pressure (or direct assistant) talking about a potential person to come in.

I trully believe Hughes' Management team is brutal in their stubborness but that even they are starting to wake up and smell the coffee. The outward support of Hughes and his methods by all and sundry this week smacks of when the chelsea players last year were seemingly forced to celebrate a goal with AVB.

The really good thing is that the end is nigh, either they start getting results - And the only way is with the right team and the right formation - or Hughes and Co will be out with just about enough time for the next guy to save us.

Very much doubt that Hughes reads this sort of stuff personally (certainly wouldn't if I were him).

However, there will be joeys on the staff side that do, for both curiosity reasons and to feedback up the chain. The value for TF and Uncle Phil wouldn't so much be the kind of 'anxious for a win' material which they'll get more palpably from the crowd on match day, or even the 'Hughes Out' sentiment, but more the strength of feeling on such things including comparisons with Twitter feedback on TF et al (we saw how quickly Amit surfaced with that spooky assurance that time).

The fact is that social media is relatively new and offers free feedback in bulk where companies outside the entertainment industries have to pay through the nose to get a pulse reading, so why wouldn't football clubs take full advantage? Doubt Rangers would be that sophisticated in processing and reacting to findings but will certainly have a good idea of which way the wind's blowing.

Human nature suggests the odd player would also occasionally have a browse around the message boards - but probably more to seek out feelings on their own performances on the back of certain results where the standard media might not have acknowledged much.

    Your guy won't be wrong.

Like I said, imo 'they' will be more than aware of what's coming off message boards and TF and Phil Beard will be more than interested.

Doubt this'll be the case with blogs though - long winded opinion by individuals are too personal and time consuming. Quick fire reactions from many people's much easier to get a pulse reading from.

    And rightly so!

We can't beat them in the air in the attacking third anyway, the best way to combat their 6 foot creatures would be to play small tricky players. And if we play smaller players up front the defenders wont hoof it as it's pointless. Play it on the ground and we'll beat them just like last year.

I'm pretty sure someone from the club would have been monitoring the old 606 given the clout of the BBC and all but despite this board being well used there are now way too many alternatives to think that any one would get enough attention.

If Mark Hughes really took notice of what was said on here he would have signed two CBs and another striker in the summer and would now be much more assured of his job. :)

How about defending against them, would you be happy with SWP marking a 6 footer at a corner or long throw?

You do realise we only beat them from a set piece which I think was a flick on from a big guy?

Nothing wrong with playing a good shorty against lumbering giants as long as we play the right one. SWP it aint.
However does not matter what the size of the players, we have to play the ball to feet as we will ineivtably lose an aerial battle. It also means that a compenet midfielder takes responsibility to bring the ball up out of defence and not rely on Ferdinand, Bosingwa or Nelsen to seek out Zamora's head from 50 yards away. They make two mistakes. They float it to his current position meaning he does not run and jump at the ball with any momentum. They don't look for other players who have run into space a bit closer

Zamora cant jump so he should not play, as you say we have to keep it on the deck and with Cisse up front, we have no other choice.

I could see Hoilett being dropped so Mackie can play RW for this game and hopefully Faurlin in the centre with EG and SD.

I wouldnt moan if he did it an lost, he will probably play a 4411 and the attacking midfielder (Hoilett) wont track back leaving our 4 to get overrun by the oppositions 5 yet again.

Even if it happens, he still wont change formation as hes never done that during a game, hes only subbed like for like. He has no tactical awareness at all, you will see good managers make a sub or formation change after 20 mins if its not working. Hughes will wait until we are 2-0 to make a chance and by then its too late.

And you have proof? Or is it just that you think it - so it must be true?

Like the OP headline "Hughes does read this" is supported by the OPINON of Jan Laursen, Sports Director at FC Nordsjaelland (DK) who thinks that he PROBABLY does ... or someone close to him does.

I agree with the OP and I know for a fact Qpr do employ a board spotter if you like. If you remember back to when Dj leaked confidential info to ric roc that's how it was picked up by the club so quickly.

So when that "board spotter" must give his report to Hughes does he say: Look Lesli the fact is that everybody on not606 thinks you're a piece of sh*t and dumb as a brick or he just says: The fans are not bery fond of you. ?

    Haha good one mate

There not there (I doubt to gage the general consensus of fans) merely to look for posts that could be damaging to the club, like I said the ric roc gate was a prime example, there was also an issue with the online ticketing system whereby you could get membership for a quid ,this was found out on a Sunday and was shut down by the afternoon.

Ps I will send you that link when I get home mate

Thank you. I always like to see tactical reviews because I think that I don't see the bigger picture watching the tv broadcast.
I watched one interview where player said that he occasionally google his name and see what the fans are writing. I know that if I was a famous player I sure would.
