The Hornet's Nest was a gathering place for Hornets fans to show opinions that are not completly football related on the BBCand with the soon to be death of 606 I moved it to not606 where it has grown.

Thank you everyone for supporting the Nest so far.

What I am trying to find out is should the Nest stay how it is and get bigger or should we kill the Nest every 5000 posts and have a new one.

    • Keep the Nest as it is so it will grow with no control.
    • Kill the Nest every 5000 posts

Renew it(not kill) every 5000 posts it gets too unwieldy otherwise

I will make this thread "sticky" for a few days to encourage everyone who wants a say in the Nest's layout to get a chance.

Ak - tell me when you want to "end" the vote please.

I have no great feelings either way, but if it allows ak to bring in some some new bits and pieces that he would like, then I will go for the re-new option.

What are the advantages to starting a new thread?
If a new thread is started is it possible to take the previous few days of messages from the old one and put them in the new one to allow for some sort of continuity?

Got to disagree with the voting system here as members from other clubs can "spoil the vote"there is no control on it being hornets only doing the voting .Because of this reason I move to make this vote null and void!

Yes and we have no way of knowing who is doing what!
I would rather we just state our opinion in a normal post and then its transparent to all to see!
    Hello Hornette:)

This system is flawed the posting your opinion worked well on naming the nest a couple of years back!

I'd be happy with that, if, indeed the system is floored. Maybe we should take a vote on how we should vote ;)

I dont know NZ I cant see any logical reason , It doesnt affect performance of computers or the site! Keep it together !! if we need to go back to refer to a point you can refer the post number ! I really dont see the need to muck around with it!

Norway - did you used to be a Trade Union leader? :) Let Ak decide - he does the thread and we have one outsider only - I can hardly believe we will get an influx of outsiders voting - anyway Ak is not obliged to go with the vote - if it is close he can decide which way he prefers - this just gives us the chance to see if there s a strong opinion one way or the other - which by the look of it there is not - it seems most people do not mind much

If I'm honest, I don't mind either way! Ak does these so I guess it's up to him - depends how easy it is to start a new thread compared to editing an existing one if he wants to change any of the initial information!

I have no opinion to kill the thread or not. It is as easy to start a new one as to change the original. I feel like a dictator how you vote does not matter I will do what I want :emoticon-0165-muscl:emoticon-0138-think

    Hi Norway <ok>

If I had to make a choice, I'd probably say just leave it as it is. Otherwise it means Ak writing a new one, Leo making the old one 'unsticky' then making a new one a 'sticky', then people stopping writing in the old one and making sure you write in the new one (although it being sticky will help), then also keeping the continuity from the old one into the new one!! We can also see how high we can get the current one up to!!
