Lovely goal. Superb hold up play by Adebayor, great ball by Huddlestone, typical run and cross from Bale and a simple finish for Defoe's hat-trick. Very nice.

Yes, really nice team goal. Carroll and Adebayor in a 4-4-2 looks at least like a good option against weaker teams/at home. But as good as he's been as a playmaker, Carroll can't tackle at all, apparently. I'd like to see him paired with Sandro.
In the 84th minute, Spurs start to drop back to their box before challenging. You can feel the Maribour goal coming. They really do press well, and are fast enough to catch up if the players get through the press. It's their defending statically in their own box that's truly godawful.
