Absolutely superb! Congratulations on a famous win - and could so easily have been the double over them.
Some English punter had a good week , pound Yankee ,4 correct scores , man utd 3-1 benfica 2-0 Valencia 4-2 Chelsea 3-2 to win just under 200 grand .
Just on that 'twelfth man' theme, I thought I'd share this. I spoke to friends who are huge Barca fans, back home earlier. They have long known of the intense atmosphere at Celtic Park but were of the view that the spectacle and enthusiasm on show last night were particularly amazing and being passionate Catalans had nothing but admiration for that shown by the Celtic fans. Other than the fact that they felt Barca deserved to get something from the game, not one of them had a bad word to say or any complaint to make about the game in general and all were whole-heartedly generous in their praise of the Celtic support. So, Celtic fans - take a well-deserved bow!
What we have found out this season so far is that we have nothing to fear against any team in Europe. We have equalled or bettered three different quality teams in the Champions League. These teams have between them a wide range of strengths and skills. If we play to our strengths there is no reason why we cannot get results against any team. I would like to think we won't face any other Champions League game with as weaken a squad as he had against Barcelona. The future is bright and will only get brighter as we really are only at the start of building the squad and building the managerial experience. In this regard the addition of Jim Mc Guinness will prove to be probably the best signing of all as he is a man with vast ability.
Trevor Santos, I can't say I am sorry or surprised that you have an aids affliction but I think most sensible people would prefer if you kept that to yourself.
Anyone else still watching replays? I haven't been able to find any decent clips us of us doing the Huddle, in the Champions League
they never showed it on the telly but you could hear the roar. T'was magic. i am like a child over this for some reason.
we had the espn coverage, the ****ing ****s turned the volume of the crowd right down. if it wasn't for the camera shaking you would have thought there was deathly silence at the game
