So Fergus McCann and thousands of other Celtic fans saved our club.

Paddy and all the other 100%ers did nothing to save their club.

    Glad that is sorted.

"and with the support of key individuals raised the finances necessary to rebuild Celtic Park"

"contributed to the rebirth of Celtic Football Club and he's like a part of Celtic history".

I'm guessing you didn't read any of the rest?

Or are you still trying to rewrite history?

Can't be ****ed to read the whole thread, but what makes a proper fan is one who supports their local team through thick and thin and actually goes to watch them.

That makes 99% of ****ers that post on here plastic glory hunting ****s. <ok>

    **** you all :)

None of this explains why Med Dog sat on his hole whilst his club got liquidated.

He was too busy finding new material for slagging off Celtic.

You are 100% right. The day after Rangers went into administration he was on here telling everyone that Celtic were sure to follow rather than doing anything about it.

Yet the cheeky **** thinks he can criticise anyone for how they support their club.

And there's the difference my closed minded friend, I don't have to trawl websites reading other randoms write "A version" of what happened to Celtic FC.

I know what happened and whilst McCann is a hero in the eyes of most Celtic fans (I'm assuming), he like war medal winners, took most of the glory. He did not milk it, but if you had been old enough to recall the interviews he gave on TV and in the media, you would perhaps have some better understanding of the complicated nature of how the deal to save Celtic FC was struck.

One fact which seems to have escaped you and Celtic Wiki and it's ilk is that Celtic were 1 day from the bank foreclosing and a Celtic fan, not Fergus, handed over £1million of his own personal cash the next morning.

Now, some could argue that he was the saviour of Celtic, but he shunned the limelight, much to your misfortune, as you have, and continue to make a monumental cock of yourself by telling Celtic fans, who lived and worked in Glasgow, and who had very good connections and information coming out of CP that they do not actually know who saved their club.

    Worst thread ever.

I can't really criticise what with my delight in all negative things happening at Anfield but it's becoming a very common trait for people to hate other clubs with more enthuisiasm than they like their own.

Most commonly people who support clubs they have no local connection with. I know a Bristolian who supports Leeds and as such hates Man United. To the best of my knowledge he's never been to either Elland Road or Manchester yet he has a bitter hatred, probably trying to prove his undying love for some Northern club he has never even seen.

Dev - I agree it's a minority but there do seem to be a lot more these days down the pub, on the forums and everywhere else. When i was a nipper you just cared about your own team but negativity about others does seem to be as, or more, enjoyable for some.

Maybe (I hate to say this) Media overcoverage has caused it?
