With Paul Konchesky's injury Nigel has said he will look to sign an experienced left back but only if its right for the club. One thing he did say was this

Been saying we need a LB for ages - Whitbread can play there against Forest but will be useless attacking.

    Who can we get?

A good signing for you would be Shane Ferguson from Newcastle!

Cant see that, doesnt have the pace or stamina for a wingback, would prob get sent off again.

You don't play with wing backs though, you play 4-4-2.

    We play 4-2-3-1.

The two defensive midfielders give the fullbacks the freedom to roam forward.

Implies he won't just sign (bring in) people for the sake of it (a little dig at Sven's transfer policy perhaps) - and that it takes too long and is too disruptive a task to move on players that are either not good enough or don't want to play for us ... I'd put Moussa and Kennedy in the former category and Mills and Beckford in the latter .... Peltier somewhere in between the two...

Yeah, I think this is a hint that Pearson prefers to bring in good value players rather than established names. He may go out and get a striker and a fullback, but his instinct will be to bring in a promising teenager as opposed to some we all know. Sven and Nige are extreme opposites from one another when it comes to transfer policies. Personally, I'd like to see a mix of the two, youngster and the odd big money signing. That said, we could do without any more big egos.
