Beautiful goal that, obviously you can pick holes defensively from a Liverpool perspective and you guys will but it really was a great goal.
Thought we edged that half. That goal was a bit of a sucker punch Gonna be a tough ask for our XI to score past a defensively sound, but more importantly, unadventurous, Anzhi side.
to be fair, I can only remember one clear cut chance for either team aside from the goal and it was to Anzhi.

terrible mistake by jones there. he charged out when he'd no chance of ever getting there so he took himself out of the game. easy chip... at least if he'd stayed in the guy would have to shoot of his left and carra was cloing in on him. bad game but we did get in once and inexplicably tried to pass..... btw yeah nice finish but the keeper made his mind up for him and made it kind of easy... yeah he did it well but thats a gift.
What? He plays against Messi when he lines up for Uruguay.... Thought the whole defensive line stopped expecting him to win it and that one flick beat our entire backline, the next closest, where was the cover? Anytime a ball is played into a striker it is one step to pressure/win it and one drop behind just in case.
as long as we beat young boys at anfield we'll probably get through so that should be ok... team is trying its best such as it is which is as expected so the "seniors" need to man up and beat chelsea haivng had thier little rest.
