Needs games to get his match fitness back. Come back better, if he can rediscover the form he showed before his first injury he'll be a real asset here
So, how good is the guy? I remember being linked with him in Summer and a lot of you said he was a great prospect. What kind of player is he? I know he's a central-midfielder, but is he an attacking/defensive one, etc?
I'd say defensive, fairly neat and tidy on the ball for his size (I thinks he's 6ft3). Will probably break up play and try to start attacks for you.
He's a damn good player. We will have him back after he's completed his task for Brucie. Best of Luck for promotion.
Good move for the lad. He needs games, he'll be superb at that level, he's gone to a good club, and he'll likely play every week. Good for all concerned, and hopefully he gets back to pre-injury form and is a real asset to us. Hull have played some nice stuff the 2 or 3 times I've seen them, his physicality may well benefit the very tidy players they have going forward.
After what Sunderland fans said about Elmo and how he's played. If you rate this lad, he'll be a world-beater for us. Unless it works the other way round this time, hope not.
I think to be fair, a few of us, me included were unfair on Elmo. The lad came over, looked canny, but lacked a bit of confidence and his delivery was pipe. We probably overlooked the magnitude of Egyptian league at a top club to a mid table Premier League team, the lad was frustrating because there were flashes of a very decent player at times. I, and I'm sure all, are glad he's doing a job down there, he looked very good v Bristol City 2 weeks back from the hour or so I watched.
Sorry guys but I am going to have to disagree with all of you , Myler is an average championship level footballer in the handful of games he has played for us I have never seen anything in his game that says " premier standard" We will never know if the bad injuries he has had has prevented him from making a mark in our first team. I do wish him all the luck in the world at Hull and hope he gets a few games.
I dont know about that. It has been widely reported that if we go up we have the option to take Elmo off you. Clearly we would do that. I dont know if the same option exists in the Myler deal. It may not. Thanks by the way, with Elmo and Myler we have a really good shot of going up this year.
Don't forget brucie! For all the flack he got, he always came across as a decent chap imo. I'm glad it's going well for him & you lot
I agree that, should he play as he's apparently capable of doing, he'll be a big bonus for us, but I can't see us going up without Hobbs, Dudgeon and Fryatt. Their replacements aren't up to scratch in my opinion. Hopefully Meyler will do a job of breaking up play and getting attacks going though
