The Celtic wiki, an encyclopedia about your club, written by Celtic fans describe as "The man who saved Celtic!"

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...to-keep-the-clubs-finances-under-control.html

"Celtic themselves came within minutes of bankruptcy, before the intervention of Fergus McCann"

    That's good, because I don't.

I think I may have found a new signature. <laugh>

Medro your ignorance is staggering, what is even more amazing is you trying to talk about events where you have Zero knowledge.

Suffice to say McCann was a saviour of Celtic, but he was not the only saviour, plenty of other people saved Celtic too, not leat Willie Haughey who handed over £1m in cash for no other reason than to stave off the bank.

As far as I know, Haughey seldom if ever visits Celtic Park nowadays, so to you he's not a "real fan", as if you have a ****ing clue. Honestly, have a day off and don't be a prick your whole life, I have forgotten more about Celtic than you will ever know and all the internet searches in the world will not change that fact.

Simply put, you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

When you consider that it's wilful, it really isn't.

He was asked how many games he's gone to this season earlier in this thread - **** going back and reading it all but I'm willing to bet he never answered it and instead persisted with asking others.

Obviously, he's not going to use logic to deduce something when he can do it with rhetoric and/or selective quoting.

    Dev,

Dont be a wally all your life.

No Fergus, no Celtic irrespective of who else was on board.

    He was the saviour.

Now run along and get the slippers on and have a nice cup of ovaltine.

So you followed events closely and knew who all the key players were?

Like, who asked Fergus to come and help?

So McCann didn't save your club when it was minutes from going to the wall?

    So it's lies?

    As have you laddy.

I go to plenty of games.

So it's all lies? the stories about McCann being the saviour and saving the club is all bullshit?

I'd say, there is a difference between being "fan" and a "supporter".

I am no longer a Celtic supporter as I don't go to games (don't have a season book) or buy Celtic merchandise. This is the minimum, in my opinion, you can do as a supporter. Take it to another level, start investing in the club further i.e shares.

Then you have fans .. two levels to being a fan. Going to game adhoc every season and watch them on TV or watch them only on TV (armchair fan).

Me, I'm an armchair fan ... gave up my season book after MON's first season. Like football, will watch most games on TV. Want Celtic to win, but if they don't I now no longer care that much about it. An Old Firm defeat used to put me in a **** of mood for a day or two. The last Old Firm defeat barley registered about an hour after the game.

It's all about priorities in your life... as you grow up (in my opinion) you grow out of football.

Yes and if Fergus wasnt incumbent at the time would any of them have come forward. Very debatable but you keep kidding yourself.

Fergus's five year plan swung it for them.

Come on oldster, you're better than this man.

I feel your beel and almost admire your attempts at rewriting history.

No Fergus, no Celtic ultimately and you know it.

Its ok. I wont think anything less of you old timer.

I like you and you know that. Theres a certain respect between us. I dont want us to fall out over this.

I referenced him earlier. He has a seat on the board. Keeps his **** to himself.

And yet Paddy can tell us what a real supporter does as he sat on his arse as he failed to heed warning after warning as his club went to the wall. He's not even remotely embarrassed by the contradiction.

Whatever gets him through the days.

Medro, do I have to spell it out? You don't have a scooby, so continue to tell me what you THINK happened and who did and paid what and you continue to trawl the Celtic Wiki which is innaccurate in every possible way.

You, as I explained, are talking of events which happened when you were a child. Your opinion is worthless. <ok>

That's not the question and you know it.

I'm actually not interested in how many games you go to - someone who refuses to answer a question they insist on asking themself is deeply unsavoury if not dishonest.

In your case, it's just a footnote on the litany of justifiable reasons for wiping out anyone who passed on their defective genes to you<ok>

I shall take this to mean that you acknowledge you did **** all to save your club and that you suspect that I didn't either.
