This is absolute bollocks, TC. Please retract it or be more precise in your accusation.

Celtic do not refuse to sell poppies, full stop. They are very supportive of Poppy Scotland. Check out this link ... http://www.scotzine.com/2011/10/cel...land-as-the-green-brigade-get-set-to-protest/, and note in the picture that the players wear tops with poppies emblazoned on them. Strange actions for a club who "refuse to sell poppies at Parkhead so they don't upset that 1%". LUFC have more Bates lovers than Celtic have poppy haters. It probably shows the minority's lack of education that they attack the actual soldiers, when it should be the Government they should be aiming their vitriol at.

The school I went to, 99% of 60,000 was 59,400. I don't see that many holding the banner.

You've also smeared the club to suggest that they're in line with this small minority. The last thing we need in Scotland is more sectarian bile, and you're guilty of inflaming this. I kid you not - someone could die if this flares up.

No - my initial statement was "Great result for Celtic, but at the end of the day, they are still IRA supporting scum" - that picture supports that statement

 

That sectarian bile (and Rangers are no better) will never go while decet fans stand by and let those banners get shown - also booing during the minutes silence on memorial day (something Celtic ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL DO).

Thanks Elland, but I may be over-reacting. Best put it out there for another Jock to pass comment on. Having lived in Wetherby for 20+ years, I'm not sure I can put myself forward as a spokesman these days for the tinderbox that is the Old Firm. I have no bias, btw - I hate both Rangers AND Celtic!

 

I never used to until I witnessed 1st hand how bad Celtic were/are

Few years ago went to an a Arsenal v Celtic game (corporate box with work) and help for heroes were there collecting money for charity - the abuse the Celtic fans gave them was sickening
