Is this EDGE having a go at another poster for being a WUM on 606? I'm thinking brass neck and blow torch...
Not even worth arguing with your lot over over it. It was what it was and if you oppose about it then I couldn't give a **** and consider it a bit more than daft that you do. This is now becoming a joke that waving flags is bad and a taunting ginger prick that is hated by everyone for his behaviour bar Celtic fans is ok. Why is the tricolour of foreign soil welcome at match days but the the union flag, a flag with our nation on it not?
Have Celtic issued tricolours to every Celtic supporter on the day of an OF game? I don't remember that (and if they have, I'd say it was pretty stoopid). On a personal level, as I said, I have no issue with the Union Flag. I'm not a tricolour type of guy either - I'm not irish, have minimal irish roots, and don't pretend I do. I just question what the point of the flags being issued to every fan actually was? Certainly nothing to do with fitba. As for your 'point' about Lennon - that's just ****ing pathetic. He cupped his ear - the horror! Away and greet to the police. Oh someone already did that. Did any celtic fans complain to the police about the flags? If they did they're as sad as your ****wit fans who can't see beyond their hatred of "a taunting ginger prick" .
I've no issue with the Union flag and no issue with Rangers issuing it at Ibrox... Well actually I've stated my displeasure already at pandering to the lowest common denominator which I suppose a mass distribution of Union Flags is. But it's definitely no worse than a Royal Wedding wish on the captains ****ing jersey <boke>
Rangers FC never issued the flags, it was the RST that distributed them. Celtic fans have made a Tricolour at Parkhead for Roy Keanes debut and at Ibrox, they distributed ROI flags to 'taunt' Rangers fans.
The RST may have distributed the flags but they clearly had the permission of the club. Making a tricolour for the captain of Ireland's debut seems a fair enough thing to do, hardly controversial or even worthy of mention tbh (didn't you do the french tricolour for Leguen?). As I've said several times I'd agree the 'taunting' of Rangers fans with flags is as daft as the distribution of Union flags by your mob. On the other hand, if I were being picky, I'd point out that neither of those events occurred in the immediate aftermath of bombs being sent to your manager and prominent Rangers supporters - ie at a time when the clubs should be downplaying not encouraging the whole UK/loyalist v Irish republican fandango. So anyway back to my question, what WAS the point of distributing the union flags? To show support for Rangers?
Erm, that point is to support the team and give a great show of colour. Why do you have a problem with that? Why are you offended by the Union Flag? Why are some people intent in making everything to do with the OF illegal? We live in a free country, and if people want to show their pride in being British, then that's their right. Only idiots think that their is sinister meanings in the display of a national flag, British/Irish/ whatever. Too many ****s want to make things up to suit their own agenda. How many times have I said I'm not in the slightest bit offended nor annoyed by the union flag? The point I'm continually making is that it really doesn't have much to do with football does it? If you wanted to make a show of colour and support your team, here's a crazy idea, issue everyone with Rangers flags or scarves. Whether you're willing to admit to it or not, the tricolour and the union flag represent a side of the OF that has **** all to do with football and a lot to do with pseudo-political tribalism. I'll repeat for the gazillionth time, I don't find it even vaguely 'offensive', I just think it's stoopid.
Poor Dev, he's lost without his leader "webelbhoy". Dev - " webel, gaaa aah dont no what to fink no more" Pathetic
