Lol I'm sure we used to stick judging by the amount we have received. The latest one being the new Anfield shirts ...
This will wind them up: we've been tipped to beat them to a long time target of theirs, Serbian attacking midfielder, Filip Djuricic. He's only Shelvey's age but is fast, technically gifted and can finish. Seems quite like Sahin, in some respects. Here is his wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filip_%C4%90uri%C4%8Di%C4%87 What do you guys think?
What about a cut-price deal for another contract rebel? I hear Xabi doesn't want to sign the proffered contract at Real. He's already expressed his love for Liverpool and Gerrard has been publically courting his move back to Liverpool. He'd make a great pairing with Lucas, freeing up Gerrard to move further forward. Should be available for buttons or free in the Summer...
If we had Lucas and Alonso in the middle, I would 100% want Gerrard ahead of them! I've been as a much a critic recently as most about Gerrard, but Xabi would get the best out of Stevie and Lucas can mop up.
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/4...-transfer-news-fernando-llorente-juventus.htm 5 million, has to be a joke figure that!!!
I think he might, you know. Alonso could sit deeper and allow Allen to push forward more, which is always what BR wanted. He could also flirt with 4-5-1, as well as his preferred 4-3-3 -- not that he couldn't now, TBF, as he plays quite a fluid formation, anyway. Just been reading a few pieces on the internet and it's got me thinking. Anyone else concerned about Gerrard? He's said that he's always wanted to play for Mourinho (Mourinho still rates him, BTW); he also said that he misses playing with Alonso. With Xavi being unsettled, bringing Gerrard to Madrid might get Alonso to sign another Real contract. Gerrard has won everything except the league with us, and has a been fantastic player and captain. BR's task to win the league looks a fairly lengthy task and one unlikely to reach fruition before Gerrard retires -- perhaps. It would be a gamble for him go (remember Michael Owen's failed gambit!), but could be a bigger gamble to stay. He might win a league title with the team he loves, or he could go to Real and have a better chance to win a league title there. No player likes to have regrets, when looking back at their career, and Gerrard could consider not winning a league title as just that. Does anyone think this is a possibility and, if so, would they consider Gerrard a traitor, like Owen is, after all his considerable contributions to LFC? Just wondering, hypothetically, like. Obviously, If we could keep Gerrard and bring back Alonso then that would be the best case scenario. So many midfield options! We still need those strikers, though.
I wouldn't hold any grudge against Stevie should he wish to leave in pursuit of glory. Any professional would - but only as long as he leaves with dignity, unlike Torres and Owen To be honest, I think it would benefit us. I don't consider him to be a key component for our team - I would be more concerned if we were missing the likes of Reina, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas, Johnson, and Suarez.
Spainish approach? --------------------Reina------------------- -------------Skrtel-------Agger------------ -Johnson----------------------------New--- --------------------Lucas------------------- -------------------------Alonso------------- -------------Allen--------------------------- -----Gerrard---------------------Walcott-- ----------------------Suarez---------------- Suarez as F9. That would dominate possession and the wide men will get goals.
Reason I mentioned it as he just tweeted " Hope everyone has a good day at work, EVEN IF YOU HATE YOUR BOSS lol"
