Meyler has trained with the squad today, but Rosenior, Elmo and Bruce didn't train. They're still travelling to Cardiff, but all three are touch & go(courtesy of Phil Buckingham).
Surely it would be better to rest the 3 for a week rather than risk them and see them out for a month or more. Unless we get another WB in, I think we should rest them and go back to a 442 this weekend.
If we could have a full-strength team, we'd be ****ing top by Christmas: ------------------------- Amos ------------------------ Rosenior --- Chester ------ Hobbs --- Dudgeon Elmo --------- Koren -------- Meyler ------ Quinn ---------------- Fryatt -------- Aluko --------------- Alas, that'll never be
I couldn't find my driving gloves to give me extra purchase on the steering wheel. And someone had sprayed graffiti down the side of my car.
Great signing! As for McShane, he was poor in parts against Barnsley too, he's starting to get back to his 'not being able to pass more than 6 yards' regime. I'd like to see on Saturday: Amos Elmo(If fit) Chester Faye Bruce(if fit) Rosenior(if fit) Koren Evans Quinn Aluko Simpson Subs: Jakupovic, McShane, Proschwitz, McLean, Meyler, Brady, McKenna.
I'd be very happy to see: Amos Hobbs Faye Chester Elmohamady Koren Meyler Quinn Brady/Rosenior Aluko Simpson/Proschwitz/Campbell For the remainder of the season, unfortunately we might lose Aluko for the ANC, thank god that Egypt didn't qualify or Elmo would be off too!
That could be said of the whole team, in fact it could be said of the whole team for the last few matches. We seem take the gas off the pedal in the second half and allow the opposition to get back in the game. I can see us getting seriously tonked on Saturday if we do the same against Cardiff.
Bolton just signed Jacob Butterfield, they've got one hell of a squad. And Simon Church has gone to the Udders.
I am pretty sure that Bruce said a Striker was a need as well. Any word or idea on who that may be (besides campbell of course)?
If your under any illusions about the lad, before he got injured v Man United, there was a 50/50 split, or close to, over whether he should be first choice ahead of Cattermole. Now, we know outsiders read the media and think Cattermole is a thuggish ball winner, and nowt much else, but believe me this is bollocks. We ****ing love Cattermole, he breaks up play and keeps it simple, without Cattermole, the whole team goes to ****, he is a seriously tidy and massively influential player for us. Meyler will be cracking for you, and he's a top lad as well, when he was injured, he'd spend our s on Twitter bantering with SAFC fans, answering questions etc, he was so positive through the whole experience, really the lad is a diamond. I hope he gets back to that level, and comes back to us, but what is certain is that even at his current level, he will be one of, if not the best DM in the Championship. He's athletic, he isn't scared of a tackle, and he will win it, and keep possession, give it simple to the likes of Koren etc to do the damage. I'll be keeping an even keener eye on you lads , and hope that our boys help you up.
