Had to look up 'futsal'. <doh> Very much like our indoor football, I believe. Except you play with a smaller ball. We play with a regular-sized ball which is yellow and furry, like a large, old-style tennis ball.

Question: do have to shoot from outside the semi-circle around the goal and are you allowed to kick the ball over waist-height?

You have futsal mate. I know there is a massive facility in Birmingham! It is the game the brazilians are the best at. In fact if you have espn3 the futsal world cup is on right now. THey also have replays of the games you can watch. Or go to youtube.

We have baseball, basketball and American football teams, too, but that doesn't mean I seen them advertised, or been to a game. ;) Probably not that big here, as of yet. Will check it out on Youtube, as you say, though. <cheers>

Looks interesting. A bit different to indoor football / 5-a-side. I'd never heard of it, though.

The ball is closer to a size 3 and is weighted so even if you try to just smash it long it is meant to be kept on the ground. Tons of movement and some slick goals can be scored. Big reason why Brazil, Portugal, Spain, are so damn technical!

    OP:

For the viewing pleasure of the learned elders, perhaps?

    Nope. RHC's not impressed, anyway.

P.S. Not watched Corrie for pure time! How're Jack and Vera getting on? <whistle>

The last time I accidentally spilt milk on my TV it started smoking and then blew up. <ok> True story.

Luv: I read that Vera was dead but didn't know Jack was. Terry is a bit like Corrie's version of Nick Cotton isn't he? I'm not really into soaps, TBH, but had to watch them as a kid as my mum liked them. ;)

See above RHC I have my first loyal Corrie follower. (cheques in the post CCC)

I'm not into soaps either just Corrie.

Terry is the son of Jack and Vera who turns up now and then with nowt good in mind. He's off at the moment after nicking Tyrones money but he'll be back.
