You have played agsinst us twice this season already and have scored 11 and conceeded none in those two game. Not bad for a clown hey Warky!

We are a poor club with poor players, a poor manager, a poor CEO and a misguided owner, POUR ME A DRINK!!!

Obviously MM needs time and cant be judged yet but i know we missed a trick, we should have done everything to get Ollie!

Sadly it looks like we are going down, i just hope that miracles do happen. Oh and to those that were gushing after the Brum result, Barnsley murdered them so tbh it easnt all that!

We are bottom because we have a poor squad after the owner decided to remove funding for the players we wanted (Davies from Derby etc) The Evening Star has reported that ME realised he had gone to far on his cost cutting measures so hopefully the squad will have significant improvements made to it in January.
MM was never going to be able to work miracles, especially after a week or two in the job. Its going to need a month realistically to get his ideas across fully.
We also cant forget that Palace are a decent team and also had the advantage of the 'new manager bounce' that obviously put an additional spring into their step.
Birmingham from all reports were poor so there should have been no hysterics after that game like there should be no hysterics after last night, although a 5-0 defeat, going on 7-0(1 missed penalty and a ruled out offside goa)l is hardly a reason for possitivity.
Saturday will be interested, Burnley also have a new manager and a decent team so Im not expecting much from that either. After that comes Leicester, Peterborough and Forrest. We need points out of them and especially against Peterborough. The problem being that both Leicester and Forest will be hard asks. This season is still worrying me and until we have points on the board on a regular basis I cant see where any fan confidence is coming from.

I've made no secrets about my desire for us to bring Holloway here instead of McCarthy and like you say Spanish, he certainly is not a clown and I have every expectation he will be managing Palace in the Premiership next season, plus I think we saw the best team in the championship currently last night and they were going to beat anyone put in front of them, just with us we don't do half measures and when we lose we lose in style.
But we move on and as I've said I will judge McCarthy fairly and back him with the same unwavering passion that I did for Jewell (which got me names of 'Jewell Lover' etc.) but I think if McCarthy can atleast give us some consistency then I would see it as a step forward. We shouldn't ever lose more than 2 games in a row in this division! 'Anyone can beat anyone else' and all that but it just seems that 'anyone can beat Ipswich'
If we can put together a run of win, lose, draw a couple etc. then I would see that as a step forward which shows you where we are in terms of our results

You boy's should'nt feel too down-beat, as mentioned above we are flying at the moment (not sure how long it will continue) and we would have beaten most teams in this division last night!

I hope you boys manage to get out of the mess you are currently in, and remember there are still a shed load of points to play for!! <ok>

Been saying for ages that we don't have the quality many like to think we have. ME went from one extreme to the other in spending and it's costing us dearly at the moment. I just hope that we are not already so far adrift come January that instead of looking for players to keep us in the championship we are looking at players on lower wages in preperation for league one. January may not come soon enough to save us.

It's ****in' ridiculous that with an owner worth as much as Marcus we find ourselves in this position, I think that's the most embarrassing aspect of it all. Other clubs would love to have the financial clout that we have but even without it they can build better teams.

    White Horse,
What has Spanish said that makes you question his allegiance?

He said we are a poor club with poor players - I agree and more importantly the table agrees
He said MM needs time but he thinks getting IH would have been more ambitious. I can see his argument although Im not convinced either are what we want
He said it looks like we are going down - Possibly pessimistic at this stage of the season but if you dont have similar fears then your either deluded, ignorant or supremely confident!
With a -20 goal difference and less than 1 point per game average its hardly reasons to be cheerful.

He says that we have a poor manager! Mick has only been here 5 days and has already got us 3 points out of 2 difficult away games. This squad of players aren't his choices and only what he has inherited from the useless twat that was here before he arrived. Even Jose Mourinho or Alex Ferguson would struggle to get this bunch of uninterested useless tossers knocked into shape. McCarthy has said that we are in for one hard relegation battle for the remainder of the season and although it is easy for deluded fans like Spanish to sneer when they haven't been to any games at all for the last 10 years, perhaps some encouragement for the new manager wouldn't go a miss! <ok> If McCarthy gets us out of this mess come the end of the season it will be a far greater achievement than anything that Burley managed.

He thinks hes a poor manager thats his opinion. I thought the same of Keane, you of Jewell. Maybe White Horse thinks every member of this board should bugger off up the A140!

Good God. MM has had 2 games & already people are calling him a rubbish manager. Give the man a chance. Hopefully ME will give him the money he needs to strengthen in January. Let him get rid of the players he doesn't want / have no interest in playing for us & bring those that he wants / want to play for us (as opposed to come for the money) & see where we go from there

Keeping the team in the division is a bigger achievement than building a team from the ground up and getting them into Europe? Don't talk pish Warky.

You are the one talking pish my friend <ok>

MM Has inherited by far the worst Ipswich team in 55 years and keeping this club in the Championship this season will be an epic task. Burley took over when we all knew that Ipswich were heading for relegation and he had 6 months in which to be relegated and to start again in the old div 1. MM has no time at all in which to keep us up with the ****e hand that he has been dealt. <ok> All the catastrophic mistakes have been made by successive clueless managers and now we are reeping what we have sown. MM is here to save us and we should all now get behind the man and support him in this huge task.

Agree 100% RB. We as fans had every justification in calling for Jewell to be sacked, the only problem being that it wasn't done during the international break or even in the summer. MM is on a hiding to nothing and we should all get behind him as he tries to get us out of a huge mess that he has inherited. All those that carp on the sidelines should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't think McCarthy takes the blame when we're relegated, if you take a step back now the odds are hugely against us. If Mick McCarthy keeps us up or gets relegated and then eventually gets us into the Championship play offs then that's the equivalent of what Burley achieved.

I would love him to go further than that and take us back to the glory days but realistically if he can turn us into a top-half Championship team within his contract he'll have been a success.

Why the 'when' Yorkie! We have 31 games left to play surely you can't have given up already?

We need to be averaging 1.5 points from the rest of our games and so far MM is on track with home games to come!

I don't know what's happened to your logic cells lately, you don't take the result of two games and project it across a season.

I think it will require a Herculean effort. We have completely inept centre backs, a winger at right back, a ridiculous goalkeeping situation, a wealth of midfielders (which means they can't all be kept happy) and two strikers (if I can include JET) who would rather argue on twitter than put in a shift. I don't believe McCarthy has enough time to sort all that out and make up the deficit but I hope I'm proved wrong.
