...we last scored five consecutive goals in any league game?

I can remember two high scoring games from the seventies (?) - 6-1 vs. Notts County when we were four up at half time but I think County scored first in the second half and 5-2 vs. Halifax (Killer's debut) when we were again 4-0 up at half time but Halifax scored straight away in the second half.

We beat Tonbridge Angels 5-0 in an FA Cup game once and that's the only other one I can think of.

    Any Stattos out there?

BTW, no need to think about when we shipped five in a row - I can think of several of those...<laugh>

MK Dons under Parky at home. Went 1 - 0 down to Wilbraham wonder strike then got 5 in a row. We've got 2 Sodjes you've got 2 yellow cards was the chant that day.

Preston from last season (we let in 2 soft goals at the end) and mk dons from a few seasons back are the only ones I've seen...have witnessed a number of teams banging 5 past us though :(

There's good reason for the confusion - The first home game of the 1998-99 season we beat Southampton 5-0, then the first day of the 2000-01 season we beat Man City 4-0 at home.

What about Peterborough away 2 seasons ago? Did we score 5 in a row?

No, we were 4-0 up when Peterborough scored from a free kick, then we got our 5th.

Thanks for reminding me of that game though, the best away day I've ever had by a mile :)

Thanks, that was what I thought too.

I think in a way that game sums up the Parky era. 4-0 up at half time, happy fans on the terrace singing Chrissy Powell's name.

Peterborough get one back in the second half and we all start worrying. :)

Probably my favourite away game too, never been to Peterborough apart from that game, only got fond memories of the place.
