A very, very good start to the campaign for the 'Red Dragons' with a new playing style after newly injected funds and a controversial colour swap for for the home and away strips. Their form has taken a knock lately and they've dropped from top spot to land in 3rd place, level on points with The Tigers. There is certainly danger amongst the Cardiff ranks, in the form of Whittingham, Maynard, Mason, Helguson, Bellamy, Noone etc etc and City will need to be in tip top condition to keep them at bay. The new style Cardiff has seen them become regular scorers and the defence is usually rather solid. Their most recent result being a thrilling 5-4 loss at the hands of Charlton in which they began a late comeback at 5-2 down showing the character within the squad. There is danger at most areas of their squad and if City are to get a result, there is no room for error or individual mistakes.

Another great result on Tuesday night as the Tigers brushed Wolves aside with a 2-1 victory at the Circle. Steve Bruce's side looks to be full of enthusiasm, belief, chemistry and togetherness which is starting to make The Tigers look likely candidates for the Play Offs should form continue. The partnership of Simpson and Aluko is looking as dangerous as ever and with the new addition of Robbie Brady, the midfield looks capable of picking apart any defence. A few niggling injuries to the likes of Rosenior, Bruce and Elmohamady look to cause a problem within City's ranks, but the loan market is in fact still open. With 5 wins out of 6 games, City look to be making a full assault on the top 2 positions as they look to solidify a Play-Off spot at least. There is much room for optimism being a Hull supporter, and quite rightly so!

    Super Tiger's Prediction
Level on points, both scoring lots of goals, both beginning to have reasonably reliable defences (Charlton game excluded) and a usual happy hunting ground for the Tigers, it's probably the hardest to call so far. Both teams on their day can completely dispose of their opposition but Caridff's defence took a paggering on Tuesday and should be low on morale whereas Aluko/Simpson should be buzzing from two top class finishes. I'm reluctantly predicting a 1-2 win for Hull!

I just do 5 players now, can't be bothered putting every player who's scored the same amount of goals on all the time! <laugh>

I love that you and I share a childlike enthusiasm for football. I remember writing a match preview for a Portsmouth website before we won there in 2010/2011 :)

I'm still going to predict Cardiff City 4-0 Hull City

This one better to be the featured game on the Championship, 3rd v 4th. I think we can win any game this season now and the key is consistency, Simpson and Aluko could be as good a partnership as we've seen at the club. Us to win.

Don't Leeds and Brighton have games though? We need to see every minor detail from their matches remember. The main thing about our game is seeing Bruce get off the coach.

Morning guys, first shell shocked Bluebird to post here.

We were hoping for a Brucie Bonus on Saturday but after last night really don't know how we will perform Saturday. I will save my prediction for our own Prediction League later this week. At the moment all I have to stand on is that we are unbeaten and have won all 7 home games so far this season. The run will stop sometime, just hope it is not this week - or next with Boro visiting us on the 17th.

You mullered us at our place last season so hope Malky has done his homework to stop that happening again. Surely our defence won't be as generous again on Saturday?

How many Hull fans will make the marathon trip? There are normally 1800 to 2000 seats available for away fans but we rarely see that number taken up. Whoever comes have a safe journey.

I can see your recent run of bad results away from home giving you a massive kick up the arse, so you and your fans will be up for it from the off. Means we'll have to match you. If we don't- it'll be another Boro away, where we never turned up despite expecting to give them a game.

The fact you're so good at home this year, will make it a hard match to predict.

    I'll ecstatic with a draw.

A draw would be a great result, hopefully see a loan signing come in before Saturday to bolster the squad

I am usually really confident no matter who we play, there is a part of me that thinks we will get something. However, our last two performances have not been anywhere near to quality we are capable of and IF we don't improve on saturday a team like Cardiff with a lot more cutting edge may well give us a good hiding. But to me it all depends on how we play, and you never ever know how City are going to turn up and play. But you know you have to be positive, 2-1 to the city boys.
