I like the honest and professional manner that he has in interviews. It is easy to forget that he has returned from injury and has struggled to get back to full fitness. He openly states that he is not a wing back and that his best role is as a defender. I felt that he covered the RB position well on Saturday, but it is not a natural position for him to play and as we changed formation with Andy Dawson coming on, I think we controlled the game better when he moved across. There are better players in the squad, but he always gives 100% and I would rather have him at LB than anyone else. He will always be a good choice when we need to be defensive.
I'd hate to see Rosie move on.In fact i don't really understand his fall down the ranks this season. As you say Mel,there's been a couple of injuries. He's a superb professional and a great example for young players and fans. I can guarantee to anyone going tonight,if you don't rush off after the final whistle, you will see Liam come over and applaud the east stand. The man is an absolute no brainer for club captain.
Rosenior has very quickly become one of my favourite ever City players. He is class, both on and off the pitch. His interviews I think are always worth a listen, this is how classy Rosenior is - on Saturday he was the only player (on the pitch anyway) after the minutes silence to go and shake the hand of the war widow that brought the match ball onto the pitch. The things people do that go unnoticed that make you stand out from the crowd. Top man Liam.
Rosie was eventually subbed to let Brady get a look-in, but it sounded like he played well. What are his chances, now Brady's here?
Did anyone else see Liam go into the crowd during the warm up after he hit a little kid in the head with the ball. He went in, signed his autograph and gave him some gloves. He also signed the gloves!
Brucie said Rosie & Elmo have both played the last 2/3 with knocks but if he's fit, he'll play. The lads done great in a position that isn't his favourite by any means. Also, fair play to Corry Evans, never really rated him but he's had a good few games and thought today was probably the pick of the lot.
Agree with all of that, would hate to see Rosenior dropped for a long spell. He does come across as a really nice person.
Quite high lol. Brady actually defended quite well, but didn't actually look too bothered going forward IMO, and I was in the front row of the side he was playing on.
