I want the guy no one has heard of to win. Obama is slimey and full of **** and has gone back on pretty much every electoral promise he made, and Romney is a typical American Christian politician, sick with greed and a lust for power who'll probably want to bomb Iran asap.

Am i the only person who doesn't mind if Iran gets bombed? It doesn't really affect us, it's the US and Israel teaming up in that area.

If i were a yank, i would have voted Romney, i'm massively anti-Obama

Better the devil you know, as they say.

Obama has disappointed but given the titanic mess he inherited, he has kept things afloat. There's no way he could resolve the mess he inherited in four years, especially as the Republicans have obstructed him at every turn. And American's are supposed to believe that Romney and his cronies have their best interests at heart!

And Kyle, if Iran is bombed, it will affect us soon enough; I've no doubt about that.

It would be Iraq the sequel, I don't think Britain would be in favour getting into another war this time around, 9/11 was mostly the reason we jumped in the last time around and believing the intel of WMD being in Iraq turned out to be false and backfired in Blairs face.

Yeah maybe we do invade Iran with the USA if Romney gets into power, Cameron is too weak to just say "Piss off, not interested, the public don't like it" and we find out Iran were correct in saying "It's just for energy reasons" and we start looking like a bunch of prats again because we listened to a guy who stuck his dog on top of his car....

... And a whole load more violent **** comes our way, followed by more fear, paranoia, 'security', civil liberties cut back even further... And on and on...

They all knew there were no WMDs in Iraq, that was just the BS excuse they used so that the stupid majority wouldn't complain. As to attacking Iran, it's not the terrorism you'd have to worry about, it's the Russinas and Chinese who have lots of economic ties with Iran and get lots of their oil from there, I don't think they'd take too kindly to it at all.

Well that'd make two of us! Plus Silver makes three.

Miggins makes a good point though. I think China and especially Russia didn't mind the US and us going into Afghanistan because everyone knows, or should know, that it's a mugs game. Iran, on the other hand is quite different. Now, I'd presume that the Americans are well aware of the risks of going into Iran (and could they afford it?) but you never know what goes on behind the scenes. Anyway, there's always money for war it seems.

Virtually all the countries in the Middle East and sub Continent (Pakistan most important) have said that they would prefer Obama to have another term and I am not surprised by some of the rhetoric coming from Romney during the debate on foreign policy particurly when he was talking about Iran and even China

In hard times change can always seem more attractive, but if I was a yank I would defiantly stick with Obama

US golf courses wait with baited breath. Think how much (taxpayer) money they'll lose out on if Barry the bum loses tonight.

<laugh> Think how much they'd have saved if they hadn't had to bail out Mitten's business!

Yeah, I stayed out of this thread until today because I thought, as a foreigner, I'd be opining on stuff that was none of my business really. Then I thought, 'If only the US could think the same way!'. Thing is, this election is a global concern but only the Americans have a say. I do get the impression that the world in general would prefer Obama.

Thats true. The amount of Bias the BBC show Obama is a freaking joke. As a respected news source, surely they ought to be a paragon of impartiality, or isn't that what they've always advertised themselves as (well, that and grooming grounds for *****'s in dodgy tracksuits*)

    *Allegedly. Can't sue me now.

Oh, Kyle, don't get me started on that! They say 'how did Savile get away with it?' but now they give anonymity to this Tory big-wig because he's threatened to sue if they name him, which was exactly one of Savile's techniques to evade exposure! Plus ça change, as they say: still protecting the perpetrators after all these years.

I know which Tory peer it is. If you don't know who it is, and want to know, i can either PM you, or give clues.

I've been trying to find out but it seems all mention of him has been erased from Twitter. It's not just the BBC, it's the media in general. And yes, I'd love to know if you want to PM me. Or give me clues if you prefer. Don't want us or not 606 getting sued! <yikes>

I think the American stock market is expecting a Obama win. It looks to stable to be expecting a change in president.
