Despite not having his best game, Walcott made a difference. His pace offers us something we have missed him in the last few games. Needs to start against Fulham.

Man City are a joke in the CL. Spending all that money to get 2 points after 4 games. Also tired of hearing the 'lack of CL experience' bollocks. Most of their players have that. Even though we hate them, just look at the way Spurs did in their first season in the CL, and compare it to City.

Yes of course. It's a bit of a nonsense joke though. ;)

Mancini has never been good in the CL, even when he was winning the league every season with Internazionale.

To be fair, City's group is insane. I doubt we'd do much better.

True. But that's why we're seeded and they aren't <laugh>

Dead right Booby. Struggling in the CL is all about not getting seeded. Once you crack the group and get that all important seeding you walk the groups. If not then you get the grandee teams. We were poor in the first years of the League because we were getting beat by Barca yearly (no change there, only diff is now we get out iof the grioup before meeting them).

We have been so lucky in th elast few years. WEhile we regularly saw the likes Milan and Barca drawn together, we managed to get drawn with 2nd tier teams.

If we had been in City's group and they in ours, we'd struggle, but they would walk our group.

Fair play to City for having a go.

I think we could beat Ajax... Dortmund we took care of last season. That leaves Madrid, and not many teams would get past them...

Fair play to City for a having go? You serious?

They should be battering Ajax over two legs. Ajax have not been a force in Europe for gods know how long. City have been well and truly outplayed in their games. Again I use the example of Spurs, first season in the CL and they went to the last eight. It's a joke that City with their resources have managed to get 2 points out of 4 games.

Not on this seasons form, and even last season we had a wobble in the group phase. Didn't we loose in Shaktar the previous season too? I don't take anything for granted with our current team.

Talk about fine lines between success and failure, Mancini was all but sacked after we turned them over at our place last season, only a Man Utd implosion saved him his job and gave City the title - then of course he's manager of the year etc etc etc.
Mancini does not have the ability to manage the ego's he has recruited, they are there for the £200k a week, a locker room/training ground problem is never far away with this group...

Man City's performance in the champions league is a disgrace with the players they have. Mancini should be sacked asap. Granted they had a tough group this year and last, however that squad should have no issues disposing of the likes of Ajax. Ajax's squad cost **** all and they got 4 points out of 6 against them.

As for Arsenal, I haven't been able to get my head around why Walcott has not started every game he is available, he can be a frustrating ****er but he can cause more problems to defenses than the likes of Ramsey ever could. If I was a left back and seen the Ramsey was starting at RW I would be rubbing my hands, Walcott however worries defender purely through pace which defenders hate playing against.

This time last year many Arsenal fans were calling for Walcott to be sold, frustratingly inconsistent, doesn't try, too lightweight, always injured etc etc etc, the list went on, now it seems he hailed as our saviour and his absence as the main reason we've slipped up recently.
Arsenal fans can be a fickle lot....
