At least Vermaelen will stay at the back and won't allow Farfan to stray behind him like Santos did in the first game, still Podolski will have to put in a shift and support Vermaelen. We need to play more direct, otherwise Schalke's defence will keep us out with ease again. Still embarrassed by the fact we didin't have single shot on target until Gnabry in the very last minute.
On paper it looks that way, but Podolski, to put it bluntly, has been quite useless in so many games this season, and Giroud is hot and cold as well, has been in games where he's just not effective at all, and for Cazorla, well as good as he is, if there's no player to give the ball to up front, then there's not much he can do. So hopefully the likes of Pod and Giroud step it up tonight.
Now that ****er Hoddle is at it. We had easy games at the start of the season apparently. Stoke away,Liverpool away and City away. Very easy, indeed.
I sort of agree about the 'angry' comment. We certainly lack of bit of fight. Diaby and Wilshere can help us with that though.
