Because he was also our best player at times. Like I said above, before we played Leeds around August time we were all telling their fans how good he was and how he was going to rip them apart. Equally, around February time he was our only attacking player really threatening and everyone agreed he was (at that time) the first choice of him, Stewart, King and McLean for the wide roles. I also remember Nigel Adkins saying he was ****-scared of Brady lining up against his Southampton team and that he reminded him of Ronaldo.

I realise he didn't achieve his potential last year and ultimately wasn't good enough, but he was nowhere near as bad overall as you're making out.

 

Is a loan deal iminent for Meyler, or is it just interest?

No, the fact that the number 18 shirt is vacant probaly means Bruce has at least one more target available, doesn't matter who it is but anyone could of took that squad number earlier, Quinn, Brady, Proschwitz or Aluko

Well he's been told he can bring TWO players in, and to be honest I don't think Brady was one as that signing was known on Saturday (seemingly by Corry Evans). I think one of them will be a midfielder (Danns, Meyler, could be anyone...) and one will be a striker. Brucey was at the Blades vs Pompey game the other week; their number 10 Nick Blackman looks like a cracking player, maybe a potential bid?

 

Not really as i also said Brady could be abck as well. But Dont rule Josh King out either. A permanant deal in January is more likely i would suggest.
